Legitimate Affiliate Gets Accused of Fraud ......

Ok, I'm obviously wrong. As I read it, it just seemed to me like the guy was trying to rally the troops, obviously I was mistaken. My apologies.

Don't lie you were trying to counter his shit storm with a shit storm of your own trying to get everyone else to back you up but it back fired in your face! Now that everyone saw threw it your trying to save face....

DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA

Dude just call, email, or aim him again. Whenever I had a problem Ryan or Jared would fix it or see what the problem is right away. He wouldn't risk his rep or business for some shit like this... stop overreacting and get shit done

Seems like everyone but the EWA has said there piece. Ryan where you at bro?

Looks like Ryan needs some assistance building the tallest building as well:

I may be independent and small, but you can check the credentials and reference me - we take care of our affiliates more than you can even compare. Payouts, assistance, availability.

The only difference between me and you smaxor, is that I still take the time on AIM to actually respond to my affiliates and I'm not greedy. Maybe that's why you've already lost so much business to the likes of me and C2M.

Maybe you need some assistance building the tallest building - because having the most affiliates does not constitute building the tallest building to me. And, I didn't come in this space trying to be a nice guy - I do things my own way and not everyone understands, but the right people do.

If you have exhausted all other channels of communication,
just send them an email saying, that you are going to blog your
story and social bookmark it for them to see.

If they are doing ppc to bring pubs then you will bid higher
to bring in traffic to your blog where you have your part of
the piece.

Then post some videos about the same. And go nuts scaling
them up.

I can bet, I can challenge, you can find out, that they will
leave everything else to get your issue sorted.

Nobody loves bad reputation.

I got my issue sorted the same way when cparev started
fucking with me.

For those who dont believe me: check these 2 videos out that featured
in Suze Orman show a few weeks ago:

Check them you will know what I am talking about.

If social promotion affects BOA then its certainly going to bother Ryan Eagle
and his fellas.

Good Luck to OP.

First off,

EWA does not get blackmailed by wickedfire posts, blog post, or social bookmarking posts. We have determined that the leads were fraud not only from our investigation, but from advertisers revolking leads from us based on his affiliate ID.

I am not hear to steal petty money from you or your account, and our position remains the same: your account will remain banned and balance will not get paid. Do not try to send 70% proxy traffic to my offers and expect to get paid. This topic is 100% moot and your account will remain banned. That is our position on it, like it or don't.

Regards,
Ryan Eagle

Definitely somewhat ironic. Don't get me wrong, I love EWA and it's a fantastic network, but it's obvious they cannot really handle their existing affiliate base properly with their current manpower. And yet they still went ahead and publicly opened registration yesterday.

But then again, I trust Eagle. He knows what he's doing. Just don't want EWA to become like all the other crappy networks with thousands of affiliates (I am excluding A4D from this of course!)

So in any case if somebody tried to get OP out of business
by sending proxy traffic and fake leads to his lp, there is nothing you
can do ?? The OP has to pay the price for his innocence?

What can an an affiliate do in a situation like this? Lose all
the money?

Interesting question ... this very similar to negative SEO (more in my realm).

How hard would it be to get a domain banned from Gg/Y!/M$/FB???

How hard would it be to send proxy traffic to rid yourself of competition???

According to this thread, the answer to both would be "not very hard at all". I'd seriously be interested in what all networks, beyond Ryan's, handle this type of scenario

How lame is it that the head of this network replies to his affiliate within the thread. A much better (and professional, IMO) response is: "hey dude (OP), sorry for the delay in responding, let me call you so I can go over what we found." And have a freaking discussion with the guy for Christ's sake.

Who was blackmailing you?
And how have you determined that the leads where fraud if he had proof that he payed for traffic legit, also the 2 ips you first gave him where never tracked in his tracking, how does your investigating explain that?
Also you say he sent 70% proxy traffic to your offers, how does this explain it was him? Where is your proof.
Most of you people dont know all the methods competitors can take to piss people off, and your lack of knowledge on this case proves you dont understand most of it.

I ALSO thought it was petty that you called and said steal petty money from him or his account. No matter what he was earning hes the one making you money. You work for the affiliate not the other way around. This is what you gotta remember douchebag. Without affiliates you would be zero. So his petty cash, is the same cash as all your other affiliates.

And most of all your response times, and lack of interest, and method of communicating with the OP proves and shows how your business works.

You should have also called him instead of asking him to phone you. You im sure like any other network would have his phone number.

Anyway thats my rant im glad i will never use your program.

While it is technically possible for one affiliate to use fraudulent traffic to get a competitor banned, the reality is that it isn't overly practical. I say that for two main reasons.

First reason: it is impractical. So you knock off one of our competitors with tactics like this. You are still facing hundreds of other competitors. Is someone really going to take the time to chase down EVERY competitor and try to get them booted from their networks? Also, creating fraud to get someone banned isn't really going to hurt them in the long run. So they lose a few bucks, switch their links to another network, and they're back in business. To actually make a big enough dent in your competitors business, you'd have to spend tons of time getting them booted. You'd have no time to build your own legitimate business.

Second reason: experience. I've been running the network for many years, and I've yet to come across a situation where someone created fake leads to get someone else banned. Additionally, as soon as an affiliate develops a relationship with us, we are certainly not going to jump for the banhammer as soon as something fishy happens. We'd talk to them first.
