I just left an 80 cent tip...

You're completely right about that. I've met some amazing people on here.

It's just that the selfish shit stains are loud and opinionated, so even though they're a minority, you have to put up with their attention whoring everywhere on WF.

lschmidt is a perfect example of this. He has 673 posts, and he's a fucking nobody.

You are particularly upset by this whole tipping issue, who in your family delivers pizza for a living?

Nobody does. I just have a thing called empathy.

It's something you lack because you're a narcissistic piece of shit.

Edit: Also why are you even wasting your time trolling? You're basically proving to everyone that you're a fucking loser who can't make it in Internet marketing, so you attention whore in the forum instead.

You're the one slinging personal insults here, and think you're better than anyone who doesn't leave as large of a tip as you do. Who's the narcissist again?

Like I said... shitty tippers get shitty delivery times and I wouldn't feed the pizza you get to a dog. Enjoy those floor-pepperonis and ass-cheese. I'm sure saving that $3 was worth it.

You have a problem with that? Deal with it, just like you tell those drivers to deal with it. It's a part of life.

"We are the people who make the city run, we wait your tables, we make sure your calls go through, we protect you while you sleep. Don't fuck with us." - That quote is especially true when you're talking about a bunch of people who work at Pizza Hut and already don't give a fuck.

I love the guys who are like "well they are just losers or bums." If it wasn't for those people being losers, bums, or down on their luck, who the fuck is going to serve you or bring your lazy ass pizza or whatnot? If everyone was ballin no one would do the job!

My favorite part of this thread and any other thread that goes into tipping on Wickedfire is that 90% of the people at affiliate conferences are the cheapest motherfuckers ever when it comes to tips yet they talk a big game online. Just spend 20 minutes watching an open bar at an Affiliate Summit party and you'll see what I mean.

I think I am better than someone who only thinks of themselves and nobody else, yes.

Do I think I am better than someone who leaves a 2 dollar tip instead of a 5 dollar one? No.

But yeah I totally look down on selfish pieces of shit. I'll respect you when you learn to respect others.

The only time I don't tip is when I get that curbside shit at a place like Applebee's. I always use a credit card and never carry cash, but when I get the receipt I write down a tip for them but for whatever reason they never charge me for it--even though they would if I had eaten IN the restaurant. Doesn't make any sense. Other times I always tip even with shitty service, just not as well as if it were great service.

its not that I think I am better than the person who doesnt give the same amount. If you cannot give a reasonable amount then get off your lazy ass and go get the fucking thing. You are getting a service, and that person is a sub-contractor of sorts.

Think of it like this. What about people that only work off commission. Do you think they are bums. These people sell the service and offer it for you for your convenience show them you appreciate that.

Though that is the thing you DONT APPRECIATE IT! I believe this from comments you have made and not just the amount you are giving these "people", you have called them scum, low life pieces of shit.

You said that much better than me. +rep

Uh, when did I ever call them scum or low life pieces of shit? Or anything even close to that?

Read my response to eliquid in the other tipping thread from a few days ago, which I can't seem to find now.

And try reading my original post from this thread. It's quite clear that I think the employer is responsible for making sure waiters, delivery drivers, etc. are paid what they deserve and NOT the customer's responsibility. It has absolutely nothing to do with my level of appreciation for these services.

If you mistook my "rat" comment above in response to blue china, I was NOT calling the delivery boy a "rat" I was making light of the fact that people eat fucked up things like rats in china....so, i.e. the "rat delivery boy" instead of "pizza delivery boy". Other than that, which is your own misinterpretation, please find a post of mine where I call anyone in the service industry or delivery people low lifes or any insulting word.

this is 100% truth

Actually this is a great thread to bookmark.

Next time somebody hits me up on PM playing big baller and makes a suggestion to do some together, I'll check this thread and see which guys don't tip.

If there's anything worse than doing business with a cheap asshole, it's doing
business with a righteous cheap asshole.

thanks for your opinion guys!

So you would be happy to pay $29.95 for that pizza instead of the $17.23 you actually paid so the employer can pay his staff a fair salary, give them gas, wear and tear and insurance allowances plus medical benefits and still turn a profit? After all, that is what hard working Americans deserve is it not?

Living the dream, one pizza at a time.

They should give their drivers an equivalent of whatever they consider to be a "fair tip" (ie the one they are reminding me to give the driver on the checkout page), and add it onto the price of a pizza. Which part don't you understand? It's a pretty simple concept, but I can elaborate if you'd like.

OK, fair enough. But why exactly is it that you'd prefer to send the money to Pizza Hut, Inc. to let them distribute among their staff rather than being able to determine if the delivery person did a good job with a tip (which btw he doesn't have to claim as much of what he makes on his taxes so he actually sees more of it this way)? Honest question because your logic doesn't make sense to me.

Also, restaurants do this type of thing with large parties all the time, you pay 18% (usually) regardless of how well the job was done. Is that fair?

Sure, I don't mind the 18% mandatory gratuity fee. Restaurants can charge whatever they want, IMO. Tipping, on the other hand, is supposed to be a voluntary "tip" for great service. These days, the sentiment is that tipping is mandatory. If it's mandatory, it should be built into the bill somehow.

PS Thanks for being one of the few rational people in this thread. Nobody else seems capable of discussing this without hurling personal insults, or just labeling one as a cheapskate.

Don't be a faggot bro and try to backstep now. You flat out said in the OP that you got your service but simply didn't want to tip. You even made a joke out of it about being generous by leaving an 80cent tip.

Don't be a cheap ass AND and spineless fuck, stick to your guns and be proud of your cheap ass ways.

I just left an 80 cent tip... ...and I was feeling generous. I ordered a pizza from pizza hut's website, and in multiple places it tells me to tip the driver. Here's the checkout, and on the previous page I had a similar reminder.

I gave the driver a $20 bill and asked for $2 back. He gave me a dirty look.

I'm trying to wrap my head around this dumb idea that I should feel obligated to pay the driver a tip. Why doesn't pizza hut (and all delivery places) just increase the delivery charge?
