I love it when people talk hypothetical, and then use it as a justification for their actions.
I love it when people think a billion dollar company will just up and willing lose a huge part of their revenue stream and web site functionality due to the fact that there are no drivers in the world and they only wanna pay 2.50 an hour, but raising the pay to $5.00 would bring in a shit load of drivers maybe and bring back in all that lost revenue while also crushing their competition.

The fact is, there will always be someone to do this job. If the day comes that people wise up and dont want to do it based on pay and there was a shortage of drivers, THEY WILL BUMP THE PAY. hhuuurr duuuur
If this is all the driver wants to do, thats on them. I help all kinds of more needy people then some dude that already has job, but made a poor choice in one. At least he has one. If he doesnt like it, then change it.

the principle here is that if you are too lazy to go pick up your own fucking food, take care of the person who depends on tips to bring it to you. If you're ok with someone making minimum wage MINUS gas costs & miles on their car to bring you food and you justify not tipping them "I already paid a delivery fee to the restaurant" you are a fucking scum bag.
What people fail to understand is it costs everyone to get that delivery to you. Pizza Hut pays the driver, has insurance on him as well as other things that they need to cover.

I know single mothers who work a full time job. Then do delivery part time as a supplemental income.
Last year I believe on Christmas, me and the fam decided to go to Ihop, Which was open. Our average bill there is maybe like $50-60. I usually leave like a $10-15 tip. On this day however it was more like $50, these people I am sure do not want to be there. They are however and do it nicely and with a smile.

I used to deliver pizza back in the day and would keep a list of cheap bastards. I'd hand it out to the other drivers. If you don't want to tip, fine. But don't expect any extras or the fastest delivery. Tippers get priority. If you don't want to tip, just pick it up yourself, cheap bastards!
The drivers who fuck with somebody's food because of low tipping are worse than the low tippers themselves. If you don't want to deal with "cheap bastards" then don't deliver pizza!
