I just left an 80 cent tip...

Y U NO TIP?

I delivered pizzas when I was younger. If you didn't tip or you left a bad tip, we left a note on your account. Ordering again from the same place is not advised.

Why tip someone for 5 seconds of interaction at your door? At least waiters actually have enough time to attempt to earn a tip.

Besides, why the hell are they charging you for delivery? I've never been charged with a delivery fee from local places (though I would never order pizza hut's shit either).

I understand that American employers chaff their employees by paying waitress and waiters $2.50 in some states, fine.

But if you're a CANADIAN or BRITAIN waitress, you got NO FUCKING SAY in tipping because you're paid at least minimum wage.

If the customer wants to tip you, that's up to their discretion. You got this job in the first fucking place, you fucking useless cunt I'm going to stab you.

With that said, I'm an excellent tipper, and I tip my poker dealer (they make $15 an hour. On an average weekend, they're averaging $45 an hour combined with tip) and cocktail waitress (15 an hour at this casino) all the time.

Yeah I am cheap, and broke at the moment too. Go dig up my dual monitor thread and you'll see. But I gotta have my stuffed crust pizza!

If you're broke at the moment, you should stop posting in "Shooting The Shit" like an attention starved idiot and start spinning your articles.

Also stop buying shit you can't afford, like a second monitor.

The driver DOES see the delivery charge its call hourly pay. If the place won't pay him more its not your fault. He's fucking delivering pizza's, he's a bum.

Don't tip him shit. Encourage him to make something of himself.

Delivery is dangerous, blah blah, whatever. Then the delivery driver's employer should pay him more -- that is not my responsibility.

I get that. However, if the pizza place (Pizza Hut or otherwise) ups the pay for drivers, you know it's not coming out of their profit... right?

They'll just up their cost by ~$2 and you'd net out the same as if you just tipped in the first place.

Some of you people are either troll' hardcore or you're grade A fucking retards. A couple of you bitching about having to tip are the same people who PM me asking for discounts on hosting, because $9/year is too much for you. Fuck off.

I'm all with you if the person delivering is over the age of 30. But most restaurants are mostly staffed by high-schoolers, college kids, or ethnics that don't have any real credentials to get better jobs.

So why the hate?

That couple bucks I give the person means a whole lot more to them than it does to me.

Furthermore you know they expect a tip, if you don't want to tip them then don't have them deliver it. Get off your ass and drive down there, waste your own time and your own gas and get it - problem solved. You're paying for the convenience. You're paying for an additional service.

Oh here's another shocker, save both time and more money by buying your own frozen pizza and bake it yourself, or do you guys not know how to turn on an oven?

Funny how karma works out like that.

I used to be a driver back in the day too. I guarantee they've noted you're a cheap ass.

If you're broke live with one monitor and don't drop $20 on dinner.

When I delivered pizza ~10 years ago, I'd say that 95%+ of people tipped a dollar or more.

If you're too broke to tip the guy ~$2, maybe you should get a second job, I dunno, delivering pizzas or something.

And if you're a cheap bastard, why brag about it in public?

not this shit again. Whether or not to tip is one of the longest standing internet arguments ever. The funny thing is, I have never run into this debate in real life.

I have, I used to have this friend who was the cheapest son of a bitch when it came to tipping ever. Drove everyone else nuts. Now he's dead, how's that for karma?

i like that pizza delivery service exists.. its convenient, pay the man.

edit: a lot of you are fucked in the head btw
