Serious, this shit is hard to juggle. Where do you guys end up on the spectrum between more sleep and more work?

Almost every day I wonder if I should try to catch more shut-eye or put more hours in.

the key is to sleep little, like 4 to 6 hours per night, but take a nap in the afternoon. at least that's what works for me now.

I should try this. I have trouble sleeping at "normal hours" and don't end up falling asleep until around 4-5AM but not waking up until 1-2PM. The problem is once I'm up I have trouble falling asleep again.

Some weeks it's a healthy 8-10 hours. Other weeks like the last two, I've been partying till 5am and waking up at 7am to start working.

How much are you trying to bump your post count, OP? But to answer your question anyway (and like totally bump my posts!!!), 8-9 hours.

I call bullshit on anyone saying 4 hours regularly. I just don't see how, I'd be the most miserable fuck.

When I'm busy, I sleep from 4am to 8am, and then have a 2 hour nap in the afternoon. I'm more productive at night, when it's quiet.

It's now at a point where, if I sleep 8 hours throughout the night, I feel more tired throughout the next day.

I generally try and aim for 6 hours during the week. Weekend is anywhere from 6-12 depending on how tough the week was.

That's basically how I live as well, as I don't really have a choice. It's a horrible idea though, and not good for the body. Takes 2 - 3 hours of sleep for the body to enter REM mode, and that's by far most important aspect of sleeping. 4 - 6 hour sleeps per-time don't give you anywhere near enough REM sleep, which you need.

sleep is important for me. as for work or habits being changed when i got into the society, i often go into sleep until 12:00 at night. horrible! i shall gradually restore the time for sleeping before 11:00 at night.
