How Hydra Affiliate Network Screwed Me Out Of $25,000

I've gotten some reliable information outside of this thread about the matter that would make Hydra look even worse.

I'm definitely not doing business with them anymore.

That is not their policy. Their policy is if you dont break the T&C then you get paid regardless.

(Yes, I read the thread).
Really great job reading the terms:
5.5 In the event Company fails to receive payment in full from Advertiser it shall have no payment obligation to You. You accept all risks associated with non-payment by the Advertiser, and explicitly acknowledge that Company is not a guarantor of any payment or other obligations of any Advertiser. If Advertiser does not pay on time, Company will notify You and offer its best efforts in matters related to collections, but it is not contractually bound to do so.
5.6 Company may, in its sole discretion, decide to pay You for any Bounties owed to you by Advertiser in the event Advertiser does not timely pay Company. In the event that Company decides to make such a payment to You, You agree to assign all rights to future payments from Advertiser to the Company to the extent that Company has already paid an equivalent amount to those Bounties to You.

As for:

Thanks for providing a vague, baseless accusation.

I spoke with Hydra about this last week when the thread was made, and they said they won't be responding to it at all. Which sucks because they also said there are two sides to the story, which I don't doubt, but if they won't respond then we'll never know or care about theirs I guess.

Hydra not responding is just bad business, plain and simple. They should take a few chapters from Tylenol's play book and respond when their image is being tarnish.

Unless of course their side of the story would never fly in our eyes. If that's the case, they're just hoping this thread will go away.

i've had nothing but good experiences with Hydra, but i have to admit, i would feel much better if there was a resolution to this thread.

If that's the case and I was the OP and I never got a suitable resolution, I'd be back here bumping this thread at LEAST once a day.

Kind of like a "remember the Alamo" for anyone that happened to be browsing WF that day.

I can't even begin to speculate as to why they'd hesitate to send a level-headed (and thick-skinned), knowledgeable representative in here to at least tell another side of the story. Yeah, he or she may take a few low shots and may very well spend up to an hour or more a day for a few days replying to posts on here, but at the very least affiliates here would know that they give a shit.

As it stands, it's very easy to assume they simply don't give a shit and will do this to any one of the rest of us.

Been 2 hours since a new post, I'll help ya out op. Fuck Hydra - bump!

They will respond when their business suffers.

Something is going down over there. My AM just resigned:

From my email:

"I have decided to move on from Hydra and my last day in the office will be this Friday, May 1st. For the next few days I will be transferring your accounts to your new Affiliate Manager -- they will be contacting you within the next week. If there are any special requests you have or anything you need from me please let me know. It's been really great working with you all over the last few years and watching you grow. I wish you the very best in the future!

April"

Just got the same email. Definitely not good as she has been there a long time.

A lot of Affiliate networks are becoming very cocky. That's not to say there's not some good people who work for them but on the whole they've lost sight of serving the Affiliate. Mainly, these Affiliate Networks are becoming too "corporate" which is never going to go over well when you're dealing with results-driven entrepreneurs.

This could be anything from making you jump through hoops to get a bump or even something as simple as making you mail in a W9 b/c they can't accept a pdf copy (are you serious?)

Here are the Affiliate Networks that I see losing more and more market share if they don't get their act together:

Hydra
Azoogle
CX
