But maybe I'm going about this wrong.
Having users merely like my website will drive traffic from Facebook feeds to my domain, but I may lose out on the "community" aspect of owning a page with a wall and all that.
Here are the three options I currently see on my domain, a wordpress micro site for a single product I promote:
1. Like button for the domain. Users who like my site will drive traffic to my domain through their feeds, but then the contact is gone (right?)
2. Like button on the domain, but it will drive users to my Application, where they can like it and I can keep in touch with them and it will be on their profiles too.
3. Same as #2 but to a Facebook page instead.
I'm thinking option #2 is the best for long-term marketing, although #1 may drive more traffic to the domain which is where my selling is done.
