It's actually related to brain stuff. The female's communication center is more developed than the male's. Women tend to process emotion through communication. The male communication center is much closer to the "CPU" of the brain. It's not close to any emotional center. This makes it hard for men to describe or discuss emotions and it also makes men want to "fight or flight" when it comes to feelings rather than talk about them.
The distance between communication and emotional centers is part of what makes it hard for boys to write about emotions. Female teachers, of course, like "pretty and thoughtful" papers, so there can be a huge disconnect in the classroom. Just some of that teacher stuff I have bouncing around up in the old noggin.
P.S. I like the balls, but what's up with those facial expressions? They look like total tools.

After reading that I now understand myself better. It's not that I am an intelligent sensitive caring man who was raised by his mother to understand the emotional needs of a woman and be attentive & patient as well as share my emotions. I was given the book, "The Sensuous Man" by M when I was 14 years old and it was my BIBLE as a Teenager.
After reading your post I see that none of the above mattered though. I was BORN a
"Mental Hermaphrodite"!! Who Knew?! That's why I can "Sincerely" cry at chick flicks and yet still tell a woman to "Open your mouth and clean my Rod!" after I have just driven her Hershey Highway!! (Oh and YES, with a pillow under her lower abdomen and having her lay flat with her legs extended out straight I can and DO hit her G-Spot from behind through the "Back-Door".)

P.S. Your "Fight or Flight" reference above, anytime a WOMAN gets defeated mentally she turns to PHYSICAL VIOLENCE of some sort. If a husband, boyfriend, brother, son, or any other familiar male in a woman's life wins the bantering she WILL Slap, Pinch, or even THROW something at them because she NO LONGER HAS ANY WORDS TO HURL at them!!!!
P.S.S. You mention having "Teacher Stuff" bouncing around in your head. Here's something for you to Cogitate on. I was once told this by a "WISE" man.
The origin of the "words" woman and women to reference the female of our species were actually PHRASES in the distant past. But men being LAZY as is our nature we shortened the phrases into just a word.
Woman was shortened from
"Woe unto Man". This was used to describe when one man was to be subjected to the presence of one female.
Women was shortened from
"Woes unto Men". This was of course LOGICALLY when more than one man was to be subjected to the presence of more than one female.
