if i just setup a redirect though- facebook will know the intitial URL, which will be mydomain.com which then forwards to the facebook app... which wouldn't make sense in their eyes when i could just link directly to 'my' app.
Sure, I have an offer converting at about 18% right now. Does that help?I've seen Click through rates and Cost per click rates, but are there any conversion rates available for FaceBook?
When you say 18% do you mean for every $100 you spend, you make $118, so $18 profit?Sure, I have an offer converting at about 18% right now. Does that help?

you could do that then remove the frame code/add a redirect, but more likely i imagine he means set the destination url in your ad to a page on your domain that redirects to a facebook app page - then when the ad is accepted change the redirect to point to your real landing page.
of course he could have some real hardcore cloaking action going on..but you'd have to ask him![]()
Yeah, I do the simple redirect just as you laid it out.
I wrote a simple PHP script to do it. After the ad is approved, I comment out a line and send the traffic to the makes-me-money url.
As a backup I cloak when the referrer contains the string "intern/ads", and also if the IP address comes from a class C ip block where I've seen a reviewer before. Probably not bullet proof, but it's got me by so far.
In my experience: if you can get the CPC down to $0.05 or under, that's enough to make money in Australia, Canada, and the US.
The UK seems to be a little trickier. Don't know why. I've only been able to make money with ~$0.02 CPC's.
As a disclaimer, I'm still pretty newbish at this stuff.
I've just gotten this one scheme to work alright for me.
What CTR are you maintaining to get those cheap clicks?
