the problem is they still arbitrarily enforce their rules. they're a freakin joke, but i'm getting rich of them so I can't complain too much...

I've gotta a few disabled testing some things out... now it seems with every disable they give you a broad reason why...

something like
Blah blah blah violates ad guidlines 3,9,10

or something of the like...

I'm with you guys, can't complain too much :)

I had an ad disabled for like no reason I can tell cause other people run the same ad but wanna try to run it again will they ban me if i try you think? or maybe if i just change the pic

ok... so I dont know if this has been mentioned before...
Before they used to send a hit to your page for review. Now, often your ads are going to start right up.
I found today when fudging with demo's that if you target <18 years old, its going to be manually review no matter what

Yep. it actually say something "since you're targeting people younger than 18, your ad copy will be manually reviewed" which also implies that the others are not manually reviewed. woo!

Also, I was fucking around with one of mine last night. I paused it, let it run for a minute, paused it again, let it run for a minute...etc I noticed I got a much higher CTR than the others had. (and consequently a much lower cpc). Not sure why that would be? HOwever, I wouldn't recommmend doing this cause after a doing that a few times it stopped getting impressions cold. I think i broke it. errr.

Probably just luck of the draw, as I don't really know of any reason why pausing and then unpausing an ad in their system would change anything about how/who it was displayed to.

Here is exactly why advertising on FB is profitable.

If a user clicks your ad (you get charged for the click), it displays a small line saying {user} did blah blah (something related to the title of your ad) in their news feed.

With this, each person who views the person's profile who clicked your ad - sees their newsfeed. If they click on the link in the newsfeed the are linked to your site (not getting charged for the click)

I thought maybe last night facebook fudged the amount of clicks I was getting... Facebook reported 410, but 3rd party starts show 1,169

I was under the impression that if you wanted your ad to show on the news feed, you were paying for that, too.

According to my tracking, sometimes the same person clicks through twice and facebook doesn't charge you twice for the same person.

Oh wow they actually are kinda telling you why they decline an ad now interesting.
