Yeah really not.
If I up my CPC to 12-14 cents(I get good impressions at 6 cents) I'm at 2k per day(expenses:300-350). And I'm not really a big fish on facebook. There are some making more than me easily. (curse you cakes)

6 cents? damn you! they want 30+ from me :anon.sml:

Is anyone making money on newly approved ads on facebook? Or are you guys making money on your existing ads? I can't seem to make a new ad that lasts more than an hour or two.

how well do the weight-loss crap do? i see them EVERYWHERE.. that either means that the dude is getting great conversions and is keeping it up or he's doing really bad in hopes that one day he makes bank... i dunno - what you guys think?

I was promoting weight loss with decent conversions. I just found it difficult to get a good CTR because there is no way to target fat people.

I was targeting ppl who like shows such as "the biggest looser" but my CTR was still .06. If I think of a good way to target fat people that want to loose weight then I will try to run it again.

Interests: Fried Chicken
or more realistically, you could target singles.

Yep, I had the same prob here.
The best CTR I could get with weight loss ads was 0.1, tried to tweak the ad with no chance.

Just launched a new offer a few hours ago. She's got a .3 CTR and I have yet to see impressions tally up this fast. Was rewarded with a pretty nice CPC of sub .30, but spent my daily budget in about 3 hours. Waiting on the laggy stats to see if the conversions are as good as they look to be.

If you're maxing out your budget that fast, go slower and get cheaper clicks. As long as you max out in 24 hours, you're fine.

when you guys think myspace will open up their ads that they said they are going to do for a while? What you think would be easier to promote on there such it's different types of people using it?

cause i read a report saying that most lower class use myspace while middle and upper use facebook. They said how the military blocks myspace so the troops dont use it but the not facebook since most general, lietuents (leading class) use facebook they dont block it.

i would think zip/email offers would be a huge hit on myspace

I've been a week into facebook and so far so good. Here's my basic testing strategy.

Find an offer you think will convert well.

Make one ad you think will work. Test that same ad across 5 different demographics.

I usually test with $10 per ad. After a day, see which of the 5 ads has the highest CTR% and thats going to be your testing demographic.

Now you're going to test 5 different headlines, making sure the graphics and text are the same.

When you get the winner, test the graphics, then test the ad text.

Once you have your ultimate with a high CTR, then start making some $. Increase the daily budget, lower the CPC, and scale it to different demographics.

Do the same with different offers, rinse and repeat.
