Exclusive Directory - Is Your Site Good Enough?

There are a few distinct differences between this directory and all the others out there.
1. It is custom built and thus has its own authority and footprint.
2. G put in a lot of effort to make the directory especially for real businesses (and hence local/national clients if you have them)
3. While there is a fee for inclusion its not guaranteed. Theres a moderation process and this is one of the reasons last months interview with an ex-google employee listed directory links as still powerful links to get.

I was lucky enough to get my own business listed and I think it prudent to get your own listed or your clients listed if you have them.

A++++ would review again

Thanks Andrew.

I also want to thank Paper_Chase and BlueSteele for their help and feedback this weekend.

This is some stuff sent to me by folks who have listed at CommunitySEO. I won't name names, except the first one because I didn't really ask for permission to post this stuff.

It shows that your profile links on Comm SEO are pretty darn nice.

This is from Google Analytics. Someone sent me a screenshot showing a visitor referred from CommunitySEO. <3

This is for a business listed in CommunitySEO. No other work was done or off page to the site during the time shown on the chart except for setting up a profile on our site. I was told earlier today, the CommunitySEO profile page ranks #12 for a related local SEO term - {location} {niche}.

I got this by PM today from one of our users. He gave me details of how his listing is helping him, and then said;

Anyway this is a good link to have - it feels like I've got you working on my SEO!

I have a lot of ambition for this directory. Will you list in it?

I was lucky enough to be included on the beta for this as well. I'm not into the whole 'build a site, buy content, buy links, make money until it gets slapped' style of SEO, so I don't buy many services on WF. I'm more interested in things that will help send traffic to my sites independently of Google, and that will add to my credibility when offline prospects search for my name.

CommunitySEO is perfect for that. Whenever somebody Googles one of my brand terms, my directory entry comes up on the first page, and it looks great. It's almost like a second mini-site in itself, which for $99 is a steal.

Just paid for a site to go into the directory for a new brand I'm working on, interesting to see where it goes. (Part of what we do is rep mgmt, so pretty important we have our front page looking nice and pretty - and think this could be a good part in doing that).

If all goes well I'll no doubt be ordering in some profiles for my rep mgmt clients, too.

Looks sexy. When Guerilla was first talking about the directory some months ago, I was pretty dubious of the point in it. However on seeing it and after having a brief chat with him a few weeks back - it makes complete sense.

I think anyone who is even slightly concerned about protecting their brands reputation should have one of these, at $99 for a lifetime it's a steal. This is even before the potential future traffic it can bring, the value of the link towards your SEO and so forth.

I look forward to seeing the new functionality added with time, too.

Submitted a further 3 sites, will probably have another batch coming next week.
This is the kind of link I've been looking for for ages - BST providers take note.

Certainly a good directory helps a brand own the front page of their SERPs. At the request of CCarter, we added a "People" category and at the suggestion of Julian True Flynn, we're going to allow companies and organizations to list their key employees by position. Eventually, we'll allow companies with multiple sites in the directory to link them all together to show their common ownership.

A lot of people were dubious. I am lucky that close friends like Grindstone and Kaedus have encouraged me every step of the way.

This has been very time consuming and expensive to build from scratch, but I think the platform we have is excellent. Already, I think our basic featureset is better than any other web directory, and only comparable to the top tier of local directories (Manta, Yelp etc).

I look forward to seeing the new functionality added with time, too.
This is what our Trello board looks like tonight.

Right now the focus is on clearing up issues and then getting back to feature development.

Submitted and had my site accepted. Excited to see big things from this directory.
Thank you very much. :)

I've had several people send me their sites asking about the guidelines.

If you have an ecommerce site, you're a good fit. Whether you warehouse or dropship, an ecommerce cart/enabled site is PERFECT in nearly every case.

With regards to what we will reject, going forward, we will not accept
  • coupon sites
  • affiliate review sites

Let me know as soon as this feature is ready:

We'd love to participate with our big ass corporation :D

That feeling when one of your sites gets accepted to CommunitySEO :D

Paid. Looking forward to what you have up your sleeves, G.

Hey Guerilla just wanted to thank you for the name-drop. I'm trying to fix up one of my sites design wise before I submit it in, I don't want to look like the only shit on there!

Content publishing starts on Monday. The "Hello World" post will be deleted then.

As far as the comment, it was from someone on Wickedfire.

Tertiary Home Widget
Headline, Subheadline, brief info above the call-to-action button and including the button, together with its destination link can be changed via Theme Options. Logo is uploadable as well. Three columns you see here are widgets.

You will have to answer a set of questions and the maximum amount of money they will hand out is £4 a day. If you need a weeks’ worth of money that’s £28.

At least, I hope it's in jest..

Don't really have a lot to say here that hasn't been said already. This directory is top notch and guerilla is putting a lot of blood sweat and tears into it. I have spoken with him a couple of times about this directory and it is definitely a long term project. guerilla knows his shit and I am happy to have gotten into this early. If you are looking for a good place to have your site listed at an unbelievable price then get in if they let you.

We're going to be focusing on design and content next week, as we finish up this round of bug fixing. We've made a lot of key minor improvements, and will probably be back to feature design in two weeks.

We've made some SEO changes in the last few days which should improve the indexation and authority of the website.

As I've mentioned before, there is a lot we can do with this project and I am keen to do it all. The days are never long enough.
