Cool thanx....my P202 tracking does the same thing so i'll just keep doing that. Just didn't know if you thought a redirect (as opposed to the sticky link not going through a redirect) would make the forum owner/forum users suspicious at all...i'm probably over analyzing.

Anyway, do you have any guaging system to how you're planning on paying the owners? For example: are you just saying like $50 for forums with "X" amount of members, $100 for "Y" amount of members...etc? Or are you just throwing prices at them and seeing what sticks and negotiating? Thanx again.

to be honest, Im not sure yet, have only been testing this out since last thursday. What I did, is I bought a general domain, one that wouldn't seem weird if I target a credit report submit or a free iphone submit. I then threw up a basic site so if anyone check the tld, there would be a site there. The site is geared towards finding the right demographic for certain promotions. I was trying to make it seem like a business, so I could approach it that way.

That way, when I finally do get an approved sticky thread, the link will be a basic link like (mysite.com/offer.php). Which will run through the script that will strip my referral data, pass a sub id and then onto the offer. Not sure if this is the best method but all that data will come with testing out the strategy.

So far, I have only gotten to the point of making my proposal twice. I offered $50 as a initial offer, however neither of the 2 forums that responded out of 12 I contacted were keen on that. I sent back a counter offer for both at $75 and didn't hear back again. I would think once the method is figured out, and I have done this enough times that a large forum is just a bunch of targeted leads and possibly a cash cow. we'll see.

Yeah, that's what i was thinking about doing...with the "generic" site and the php redirect, great idea. I'm gonna guess that there's probably better chances starting offers in the $75 range, so i'll probably do that. Probably just takes some practice, but yeah I see huge potential in this once you got a system down.

Can anyone chime in on how you're matching your forum traffic to the geo traffic requirements of the offer? Meaning if your offer is for US traffic only...how are you preventing the users from UK/Can/AU from submitting their emails (assuming it's an international forum)....or are you just scouting out forums that you know have all US members?

Sounds almost like you are talking to Lee Dott. ;)

Thanks Ruck. He said he has about 20 forums. Topics include pregnancy, credit cards, coffee, insurance, women's health, men's health, automobiles, dogs, etc. I'm going to wait a few days and see how this turns out. The dude obviously knows how to create some nice communities. The only thing he's using on them at the moment is adsense.

Ruck, do you guys have many email submits in your network? The least I can do is send some traffic through your network for turning me on to this.

The Affiliate will usually prevent the non-US visitor from even reaching the landing page, as their IP will usually show their geo-location. Ruck has a program on C2M that will redirect all non-X visitors to another affiliate link, that way your click still has a chance of converting, albeit for another offer.

Yea,

You really need to pick out an UK offer and go looking for UK forums, vice versa and all the like. If you are the really nitty gritty type that is trying to suck every country in you can on a conversion then your either at your own redirection or a network's mercy.

I know from promoting Maxbounty offers for the last two years that they defaulted to Survey Scout. Since we own our own survey site I simply redirect to it by default. We except sales from all countries and the survey niche can be widely used among many demographics. We could default the link on a per campaign status but it's just easier to do it for one program only.

@ Tensegrity - A pure case of over analyzing my friend.

1. You could simply state this is for US only applicants in your pretext
2. You cant really control out of country unless you want to do a landing then redirect using php or something.

Hello everyone. I have been involved in affiliate marketing in one way or another for the past two years. Just this month I've been trying to become more into it and have finally found out how to make $200 a day with these email/zip submit offers. I am going to try the method that Ruck posted starting tomorrow. Thanks Ruck for writing this article up and good luck with your ventures! It was very informative and appreciated. Yay for first post! (I know yall hate newbies but I hope to become an active member and hopefully make some friends.)

WTF....i've contacted like 20 forums so far and not 1 response. Are you guys just using their contact form that's on their forum? I've more or less paraphrased Rucks writing, so I know it's written well....just wondering why i'm not getting any takers. Anyone had any luck yet?

Awesome post Ruck. + rep

Also I'm a bit of a new asshat, so I've probably missed such information all over this forum; but Ruck, could you please post any recommended CPA affiliate networks that have these appropriate offers.

Cheers.

Why don't you try convert2media, Ruck's network.

Same here. Maybe it's the niche. I've been picking the forums that only had Adsense on them. Figured they want some advertising but haven't branched out too far. But no responses yet.

Ok, glad to see it's not something i'm doing wrong. I just created an email template in my gmail and am punching these out by going down all the english speaking forums for the niche i'm doing....but yeah could also be the niche.

Lickity any luck yet?

not a damn thing, I have contacted a shit load of forums via their contact form and none of them, for the most part respond. I have been contacting 10-20 forums a week and nothing. However this idea did make me want to create some different forums of my own and use this method in my own forum down the line. Never created a forum though so I don't know how well that will work.

Has anyone tried posting in the forum asking admin to respond to you?

Dur...

I'll second that. I admin a medium sized web design forum and I'm pretty sure that the contact email address doesn't even work (I'm not retarded, I don't own the forum)

Sign up to the forum and PM the admin, chances are you aren't being ignored on purpose.

Interesting, I will give this a try, thanks for tip guys. I was thinking about trying different copy when I contact them but Ill try this first. Word...

Well now that it was said and I fear there may have been a few brain farts from some peeps now doing this in the first place:

Contact those Web owners by any means necessary that you can find!

Thanks for ruining an epic thread fuckface..

Anyways, I just got a few forum admins to accept my proposals. They seem to have pretty steady traffic too. It's amazing what kind of info on a site you can get someone to provide for you if you tell them you're willing to advertise.
