This is serious $hit here. This will have grave implications for many of the black hatters out there and also forum owners who are using members data, such as their email and IP to essentially steal affiliate commissions.
How easy would it be for a forum owner to stuff code on their sites and then hijack someones browser?
EASY!
In order to steal over $15 million from ebay using the alleged methods Hogan used, you would have to have access to a A LOT of traffic. What better platform then a webmaster forum like DigitalPoint with newbies up his a$$?
I am sure he may have used other methods, but my educated guess is that the DP was his preying grounds. It may still be.
To be quite honest with you all, I hate thieves, liars, frauds and scammers. Especially webmasters who claim they are experts, gurus or stars, when in fact they are nothing but thieves that scam from the very people that trust and rely on them for help or information. It is akin to getting raped by your school teacher or priest. These people need to be rooted out from the internet and sent to prison. I am going to go after these scum bags daily and expose their scams. So, if you are a black hatter who is using your skill to steal, you will be exposed or caught eventually.
The facts are that many of the so called gurus and million dollar affiliates use these same tactics. They have no real online marketing skills because it is all chicanery, theft and deception.
I wrote an article about this yesterday that goes more in depth than Mr. Cakes post.
FBI Charges Digital Point Forum Founder, Shawn Hogan With Fraud | Internet Scams, Online scams, Rip Off
Is he hacking and stealing from his own Digital Point members?
It is unknown at this time if he is is using or was using his forum at Digital Point as a potential gateway for his alleged million dollar eBay scam. However, one has to wonder since he has access to thousands of web visitors daily with their emails and their actual IP addresses. If he did, he has the perfect scam platform to capture people’s data and then use it against them. The same people that he claims to help on his webmaster forum.
Here is the
V7n.com forum owner,
John Scott in 2008 saying that
Hogan had shared this cookie stuffing trick with him. What I find peculiar is that a few members on the V7n forum call out Scott for cosigning Hogans cookie stuffing fraudulent behavior and then you will see that many of them were banned from the website. I guess John doesnt like ethical people calling this alleged crime what it is, A FRAUD!
Here is what Scott said;Shawn was kind enough to share the “cookie stuffing” tip with me years ago, and although I never did it because I thought it seemed a bit iffy, I don’t think that he perceived it to be unethical or wrong. I don’t think Shawn would have done it if he saw it as unethical.
I’m sure Shawn will work something out with ebay. Just seems like they might have failed to make it clear what commissions they are liable for.
Is this fricken clown serious? But the major problem here Mr. Scott is that your “buddy” may one of the biggest scammers in the history of the internets and by you cosigning him, that makes you just as slimy in my book. I find it funny that John Scott’s public statement about Hogan sharing these fraud techniques probably garnished him a visit by the FBI AND he may now be a witness against cookie pal.
