Bitcoin hits $100

re: the thread derailment, i'm always shocked at how much a lot of yanks distrust their government. it must be related to the size of the country or something, when somebody might be in washington state getting orders from DC across the country.

you vote these people in! do you really think they're that evil?

It's not just the US Government.

It could be the the 2.1 million in prison (more than Stalin ever had), the majority of whom have never harmed anyone. It could be that prison labor is sold off at $2 an hour to those with Government connections (literally slave labor). It could be that while the prisons are funded with public money, the profits go to the private corporations that run them. So they are in reality for profit slave factories, with big money behind them, and very real incentive to stay at maximum capacity. Many of the contracts stipulate the state must keep them at 75% or more.

I'd say that most rational people would look at that and say it's pretty fucking evil.

Check out the GEO Group website.

$1.5 Billion last year, continuous and steady growth. Aggressively expanding. Great investment for the long-haul. We'll need more prisoners though.

Or it could be that the Government has killed at least 8 Million people (probably many more) over the last 50 years. Yeah, 500k child deaths is always "worth it".

And if torture, democide and widespread kidnapping aren't enough for you, how about extortion and theft?

If I don't pay them to kidnap and murder people, they will kidnap or murder me.

And theft doesn't stop at taxation. They've manipulated this economy into the ground and literally robbed the entire nation of any real wealth. In every Government endeavour losses are socialized, profits are privatized.

How the hell does anyone look at this and think anything but "that is fucking evil"?

I'm always shocked at how anyone can trust their Government.

I'm always amazed at how little attention people pay to history. Do Governments have a long history of NOT oppressing their populations and snatching away freedoms?

As far as elections go, I believe in the old adage: Beware the man who seeks power.

WTF bitcoin!? $200 now??

I should have gotten into that shit when it was $20. Is it even possible for people to off load their coins at this point? An object only has value if you can sell it. I can't picture many people putting in $200 buy requests right now.

It's at $210 now.

I thought the same thing when I bought at ~$40 and sold at ~$50. I wasn't speculating BTC though, I just missed online poker and wanted to hop on SealsWithClubs.

The demand for buy is 4x that of sell, on bitfloor FYI

did you sell it during the morning?

Q: When is it too late to buy bitcoin?

A: When there are no more corporations, hedge funds, mutual funds, individual, and even governments that haven't gotten theirs yet. It's too late when you're the last one in among literally everyone. That's when the price will stabilize and bitcoin will be useful as money, and then become the world's next reserve currency.

It's still very early people. We'll see $100k easily this year. Many are saying $300k by christmas.

And this time it's not falling back 80% again after the peak... Waaaay too many corporates and funds are hodlers now. They're not in it for a quick buck and they can't sell quickly in a crash. It'll just be another bear market when we've passed the peak.

This is the post that made me FOMO into BTC... No Ragrats

Thanks Lukep

You're most welcome!

I come back here occasionally just to see if you and all the other bitcoin supporters from many years ago are still around
