BIG TROUBLE with Epic/Azoogle !!

If you ran SmartDate, expect chargebacks at one point. We work directly w/ SmartDate and they are the only dating advertiser to do this and claim "disabled leads" and/or SmartDate system moderators ban certain users/accounts (leads). There's no real explanation. Quality is great. Your situation may be about legality but this advertiser is a headache to deal with altogether.

"please let me rape you just a liiiiiiiiiiittle bit more before you leave?"

Pisses me off quite a bit too, principles and all, fuck a tos in this instance that's just shady.

This is one thing i would never ever allow.

WTF are you talking about? Do u think he allowed them to fuck him out of Thousands? Maybe he could just call them up and say I don't allow you to steal my money..

Quote:
"Hey Subhan,

I hope you saw my last email. The advertiser is going to charge back the rest of the leads you generated on this offer unless you run it again. I know you want to leave our network, which is fine I guess. If you want to preserve your leads just run the offer with us for another week or so. That way you can make some money, preserve the money you made, and then leave our network as you had planned anyway. If you don’t get back to me soon the chargebacks will be put into place.

Thanks,
Todd"

I am assuming that the talk of leaving Epic came up due to this situation. Have you talked with you AM on the phone? Maybe you can try to make nice with him by calling him up and telling him if he goes to bat for you and fixes the payment, whether the Advertiser pays it or Epic steps up and covers it that you wont pull your business from them. I cant imagine they wouldn't pay you a few grand if your doing over $500k a year with them. Or if he cant fix it maybe someone else there can. It might take them a 1,000 new publisher applications to find a replacement for your volume I don't think its worth losing that kind of relationship.

This sort of news makes me want to leave azoogle to a more professional network. I dont think what you did deserved charge backs especially if they want you to run the ads for another week. Hope it all works out for ya

Im marking Azoogle off my list pretty much. I didn't run much with them to begin with and I know this might just be all hearsay, however I had a network pretty much do the same thing with me over at Neverblue.

I was running a niche rebill and it was doing well, only to find out the advertiser fucked up their backend and was double counting leads. No biggie really as shit does happen and me and NB worked out to only pay me for my traffic costs and NB promised me this would not happen again and if it did, I would be paid for all sales.

I start running the campaign once fixed a week later and its rocking again. After about a week it comes out that the error is back and NB decided to renigg on their promise and tries to only pay me traffic cost yet again. Thinking there is no way this could happen a third time, I accepted the deal just to get paid for my traffic and waited for the offer to get fixed.

Took about 2 weeks after that time, ran traffic again ( this was a rebill no one else had ), and after a week.. got fucked the third and final time when NB decided to only pay me for traffic costs for this third time, but also demand documents and break down of my traffic costs and then also pay me about 60 days late. To add insult to it all, they sent the wrong fucking amount too.

Wasnt the exact same thing, but the fact is certain networks will make sure to not pay you if they dont get paid. Fucking hate networks like this.

What the fuck? Now they're outright blackmailing affiliates?

What if this is all Epic and 'Todd' has not spoken about this with Be2 at all? Todd probably needs to make his 100 dollar monthy aff. mngmnt. bonus

No Azoogle reps on WF?

Tell toddjaredstearn that since you grieved the dating company, you want to personally offer them an apology and make up for it. How can he say no?

El Oh Fucking El.

This is what CX should be doing with their XM shit. "Just push more berry traffic when shit goes back up, and we'll consider not counting your previous leads as chargebacks.".

Great fucking strategy by Zoogs. I expected alot more from them than that stupid statement above.

If you want to preserve your leads just run the offer with us for another week or so

it might be one bad decision by a single AM, but I wonder how much this stupid comment is going to cost epic

I had a similar situation with qwik recently and they handled it pretty well; was able to work out an agreement moving forward.

The advertiser is going to charge back the rest of the leads you generated on this offer unless you run it again.

Walk away. Their proposal is insulting to your intelligence.

If you are bored, send him back an I/O outlining an agreement for 100 leads that gets you locked down on payment for your past traffic and the 100 additional and make sure the language includes that all other agreements (their TnCs) are subject to this agreement and you get paid regardless of advertiser payment. Then, tell him you can’t wait to get some business going.

That e-mail from your AM is very telling. It's totally unprofessional to send what basically amounts to blackmail to any of their affiliates, let alone someone who is pushing decent volume. Judging by his LinkedIn profile, your AM just graduated from college and has little industry experience save for a few internships, and obviously zero inter-personal communication skills. For starters, why don't you just take this issue to someone higher up at Epic and ask them why the fuck you are being blackmailed and treated like shit by your manager. Cut the peasant douchebag out of the equation and see if you make better progress.

Instead of:
I know you want to leave our network, which is fine I guess.
He should be saying:
I know you want to leave our network, please tell me how we can continue to earn your trust and your business
Risking a $50k/month account over a few thousand dollars is idiotic.

it might be one bad decision by a single AM
This gets my vote. Recent college grads with no clue how to keep relationships flourishing ftw.

^ might be the AM that fucked it up, but i would still blame the network for hiring fucking idiots with no experience to handle a 50k a month affiliate. Talk about not knowing how to run a business.

/start sarcasm/
Seriously, EPIC will never make it in this biz.
/end sarcasm/

For all we kno the guy could be a bad ass marketer but a horrid manager, mistakes are made. I'm sure once this gets up the line at epic, if the story is as its being told, it will be taken care of.

If not then this is a pretty serious offense.
