Auto-Video Site Using Wordpress

Dude, I just bought it the other day because I was meaning to do it. When should I buy the next revision? I need to know so I can drink enough beer to cash in my empties and fund my Paypal account.

hahaha well my promises on the upcoming release are continually being shit to shit because of other priority projects but hopefully by this weekend I'll have the new updates out.

I've already started working on them now I just gotta get them finished.
 
Yeah, a definite and overdue "thanks", Aequitas. You're definitely one of the good doobies that frequent this place. Hopefully I'll rise above my noobishness one day and have something worthwhile to share.
Now that the sucking up is out of the way, I have a question.
Is there a work-around of some sort to enable both your plugin and phpBay to run together?
Using your most excellently priced code with wp2.7 and pb 3.09 and when I activate realVMS the pb code no longer runs, bracketed code shows up instead of autions.
I'm hoping this is something simple I'm just overlooking.
I will say that I'm running this on niche-associated blogs to drive traffic to my ecommerce sites and it's helping to activate & bring into play domains I'd been struggling to get some motion with.
Like someone else mentioned, you've also helped me push myself to set up crons, a 1st for me, also.

A few are having issues with the PhpBay plugin I'm going to be looking at fixing up the conflicting code so just hang in there until I get that next update done.
 
Aequitas and folks, apologies for creating a neg impression. Saw the price at 20 or so, sorry if I missed out anything LOL. My point is I don't mind paying for even a hundred bucks (as I did in other forums), as long as I can minimize my time in configuring things. Cheer up people!

I use cpanel...

what is the cron command i need to use in order to get automate.php to run every 3 minutes ?

i tried :
*/3 * * * * /usr/local/bin/php -q /home/user/public_html/video/wp-content/plugins/automate.php

and it doesnt work...

ok i tried again, apparently the plugin folder name is case sensitive... soo if i go to domain.com/wp-content/plugins/RealVMS/automate.php it loads for a while then i get a blank screen, when i go back to the home i see a new video however it is totally unrelated, i tried this many times and its always unrelated...

sorry for triple post, im mainly a designer and hate coding, and ive been trying to make this work for the past 2 hours....
 
argh, ok so i finaly have it running and everything is working... EXCEPT it doesnt put the videos in the category, it leaves them in the uncategorized category unless i use my first category that ive created... so basically, its category 1 or uncategorized... i have tried again many times and dont know why it doesnt put the videos in the category it tell it to

I got your PMs and have sent you one back I'll be keeping in mind everything everyone is saying about it in this post in order to fix up any issues with it.

I know I'm extremely behind on an update for this thing and I appoligize to everyone but hang in there because one is coming which will fix all known bugs and I'm going to add some more cool shit to it.

Not looking to resell it, I just want to use it with my current host.

How hard would it be to implement a allow_url_fopen cURL alternative?

It shouldn't be that hard if you get a decent programmer, however I know a bunch of the code is hard to read because it wasen't originally created for other people.

As for me caring if you modify it, go ahead.
