SOME NOTES

Just want to get a few things out of the way before we start, the first thing is that I previously said I'm going to be evil and encrypt my source code so you can't steal my work.

Well you'll be glad to know that I've changed my mind and I'm now going to give you the source codes to the work but I'll ass rape you if you don't give me credit for my hard work.

The previous version was called ydata and this version is called RealVMS.

The previous version was only avail on PHP 5 and this version should now work with PHP 4.3.3+ however I haven't had a ton of time to fully test it with PHP 4.3.3 so hopefully it will work for you (It should *fingers crossed*)

I set up a website at Wordpress Video Plugin and wrote a full big ass walkthrough explaining exactly how to use the plugin, what all these fetures mean, and what it all does so I'm not going to explain it here.

Please let me know if you see any bugs in the software and feel free to let me know what you think of it, I'm giving it to you for free its the least you can do ;).

I could mention a ton of others things but to be honest I'm dead tired of typing so if you want it toss me a PM and I'll hook you up with a DL link.

If your going to buy it well I'd love to have your money and hopefully my payment processing page holds up after some un-tested changes.

As a final note, the RealVMS website isn't the best work because it was quickly tossed together (Pretty much done all today).

Ok time to clean out the PM inbox I've got a feeling there will be a lot of messages coming in for this.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that the plugin has some design flaws which are on purpose because I made sure it worked with WP 2.7 and they came out with a completely new design so it looks perfect on WP 2.7 just not 100% perfect design on previous versions.
 


I have to say I have been playing with this and it is great. I haven't tried the bookmarking feature yet, except delicious. It doesn't seem to add the bookmark. Is there something I need to tweak Aequitas?
 
Great job with the updates to the plugin! It is well worth the price if you want to create some nice auto video blogs.

Glowleaf, I was able to get the delicious bookmarks working, but haven't tried the other social networks. I just entered my username and password for delicious and didn't do anything special.
 
I just tried it again, if you go manually, the plugin adds an option after the edit box to tick and bookmark. That one works fine. If I activate automate.php, it does not bookmark.
This is a great feature and I want to get it working.
 
Yeah Glowleaf,

I left the bookmarking feature out of the automation section of the plugin because all those bookmarking sites have flood protection on them, so its not wise to hit them a ton of times during the day, a few times per day is cool and will do no harm but if you hit them hard as you would with the automation then its possible they will shut you down for using the API.

P.S. You guys use this in WP 2.7 yet, at first I hated the WP new design but after about 5 minutes it really grew on me, they did a great job on the new design for version 2.7.
 
It might be worth checking out how caffeinated content posts the comments as it makes them look more natural (not multiple comments posted at the same time). Maybe "borrow" some other bits too? Tag extraction maybe?

I can send you the files if you want, or it might be the same code in the free YACG version. (Although the only things I can see that CC has that RealVMS doesn't is the scheduling and translating/rewriting and I'm guessing that prob isn't the direction you want to take this.)

Love the preview stuff and very intrigued by the "api settings"... pm'd ya.. gotta have a play with this!

Hmm I'll have to look into that plugin.

I did change up the comment date system a bit to make it look more natural then the first version, basically what it does now is make the post and then randomizes the time the comments were made, so they look like they are made the same day the post was but at different times throughout the day.
 
Ok Aequitas, that makes sense! I was just trying to find if I was doing something wrong.

Guys, I can tell you, I just whipped up 5 beautiful looking video sites with this, looking completely legitimate to the casual visitor, with 5-8 categories and cron jobs to fill them up every 1.5 days. The sites look like they are buzzing with all the comments, and if you add in twitter feeds and other web 2.0 cutesy widget bullshit they will look like aged sites. A recent comments plugin on the sidebar just seals the deal.
 
As well I was going to put in a video sitemap creator for Google, you can really drive traffic to your site from Google Video using a video sitemap, even if your displaying videos from YouTube & LiveVideo.

I tested it out in the past and it works great for free and easy traffic, however I didn't have the time to put in the sitemap creator but maybe thats something I can work on once I do a few upgrades.

Just a small suggestion...I like to be a perfectionist.

Maybe in the "Global Settings" tab you can put the option to center align the video and I also noticed that around the posted description you should also add <p></p> tags. I have been posting manually and this is what I have observed. I haven't setup the automated posts yet.

Great plugin though. I have been having a lot of fun with it.

haha yeah I actually just noticed the description issue this morning when I was playing around with it, I'll have to add a few more global settings into it in order to help out with the formatting better.

You were saying the plugin has the ability to tell whether a video was posted previously. Does this apply to videos that are posted manually and automatically in the same blog?

So for instance I wanted to fill a blog with good amount of hand picked content first and then set up the auto poster. Will the plugin know about these videos before it pulls some videos automatically?

It will cost you a full american dollar though......Yes its kinda like the dollar store hahaha

Yes the plugin will know if its been added to your site or not if you use both the manual and automated systems.

I haven't had anyone tell me about any bugs yet so thats a good thing so far.
