Ask Nicky Anything About His Past Thread.

bro there is nothing worse than working in an inpatient program for juvenile sexual offenders. they're hitting on you 1/2 the time and meanwhile you have to teach them about responsible, "normal" consensual sexuality - they have to ask you permission. to. fucking. jerk. off. worst. experience. ever.

and then they have to "process" the jerk off fantasy. which is code for they have to tell you what they whacked it to. and most of the time it is another patient, or staff, and yes sometimes it is you.

fucking terrible.

YOU.WIN.

lol wasnt trying to win. just made me think of it and it made me throw up in my mouth a bit so i figured i'd ruin someone else's night too.

Opiates are a bitch. Blink and you're carrying around a bottle of pre-crushed pills with you everywhere you go. Worst thing in my life was having to go through opiate withdrawals. Props to anyone who can get away from the evil grips of Opiates. It's amazing. They can give you the greatest feeling you have ever felt, and a version of hell you have never seen.

That's a very good question. The truth is, drugs and alcohol are available anywhere if you want them. I spend most of my time in my place working, and don't really go out to clubs anyway, so wherever I live is about the same. Had I been 1 year into it, though, Vegas might not be very safe, especially on the strip. But most of Vegas is actually just a big suburb.

Hey it's inspiring to read this thread I'm also a recovering addict and now what it takes to get your shit together and start living again. I'm celebrating 4 years in 2 weeks and feel like a winner. What I haven't done in years though is been to a meeting and I rationalize it away. Do you still go regularly on weekly basis. I remember I did 120 meetings in 120 days, but I just can't find it in me to go anymore even though I learned a lot, how's Vegas for meetings? I'm moving there in May with some other Am guys.

Cheers Micha

Hit me up when you're here. I've been slacking myself, but I still go. There are good and bad ones here, just like everywhere in the world.

Some people believe doing certain drugs can enhance your creativity/imagination, do you believe you would still be where you are today, if it wasn't for drugs?

No, of course I wouldn't. I had to go through all that bullshit to get where I am now.

However, that has nothing to do with any "creativity" that I may or may not have gotten by using drugs. I'm assuming you're trying to suggest that smoking weed or doing other shit helps you work better or something. That was never the case for me.

It sucks you have to come up and dig up all this shit about your past to 'clear your name' over some frivolous bullshit.

But I gotta give some respect. I spent a few years addicted to drugs at a very young age, long before there were any PSA announcements on it. A friend asked me if I wanted to know what it felt like to feel my hair grow, 5 minutes later his mother was offering me meth, all while ditching class from high school.

I've been lucky enough to never go further than a holding cell, but that's not to say I haven't belonged there at certain points in my life. The world is fucked, some of us fall into bad situations. The better half are able to recover but many can never get past those initial stages of addiction.

You mention your family helping you along the way, and that's so awesome to hear. I've had friend's pass from O.D.'s before their family was able to intervene, and some parents that couldn't handle the situation and didn't do anything.

So I guess my question would be how much you contribute over coming that situation to your family's intervention? Was it more the system or more your support structure?

Everything aside, way to come up. Controversy aside, you've always given back to the community in the affiliate space and haters are always gonna hate.

Stay up and keep making moves.

I'd say a whole lot of it, but probably not how you think. Most of the things they did that saved my life were.. kicking me out, convincing the judges to raise my bail, not giving me money, etc. When I was ready to clean up my life, they were also there to help with stuff like helping me find treatment, spotting me money for lawyer bills as long as I was on the right track, etc.

When they had enough of me fucking up, they literally brought me to a hotel, paid for 3 nights, and left me there with a suitcase full of my clothes and some food along with a little bit of cash. I really had no idea how hard that was for them until later, but it was really the right thing to do and I wouldn't have ended up changing anything if they hadn't done it.

It's crazy as a kid how much you take for granted. When you get older you realize how much your parents really knew what was best for you and how fucked up life really is (can be).

I could ask you this directly, but since you made a thread and all...

Given my own experiences, how has the drug use affected your body and brain, and which effects, if any, do you still feel currently?

Opiates actually don't fuck with your physical health that much other than weight loss. As for brain stuff, I have a pretty bad memory. I'm not sure if that's just natural or what. Could have been K or DXM somewhere along the line.

hmmm. interesting past.

Do you parents still disown you?

and what i'm more interested in is, what you did to get from homeless to your first aff success and then to really milking it.
