ASE New York - Who's Going?

The London is by far the best place to stay at for this conf. I've stayed there probably 10-15 times in the past and it might be my favorite hotel in the US. The rooms are pimppp and the service is the bomb as well. Very clean, very modern, and the drapes are electronic opening haha. And free wifi of course.

Damn, now I'm considering switching over to the London since I got a refundable room at the Hilton and the internet there is $15 a day. Anybody know if they have a fridge in the room at the London? Since I'm staying for a week I usually try to keep some food in the room so I don't have to eat out every meal and I don't think the Hilton offers a fridge in the room.

What, are you going to fly all your food in? Because groceries are a lot harder to come by and often more expensive than eating out in NY.

Thats a good point, I've never been there so I didn't really know. We will have some family coming in from Binghamton to see us though so I guess they could grab us some stuff.

It's not that big of a deal, I just usually get a little tired of eating out. I'm used to a pretty bland diet of cereal and chicken sandwiches.

Dude eat out in NY - you have the best selection of restaurants in the entire world all within walk/subway!

I asked this over at NCs blog, but curious from WF members, as well...

Being a poor family man, its a pain the arse to get away (and NYC is wicked expensive for everything)...

So - WTH can one learn at this that they can't gleam from WF and other crap online, and just figure out through testing?

Not trying to be a smart a** - Just trying to understand the point - It's not like anyone's gonna give away their golden goose...

The Official New York Pizza Recommendation:

Frank's Pizza, 127 E. 23rd Street, off Lexington. Don't go for the ambiance. I know you're all really coming here for the pizza.

It's not about what you learn it's about making connections and networking (Although while you're making those connections you usually learn a few things too.) Plus it's FUN and maybe your situation is different, but I find it's hard to connect to people around me on an everyday basis just cause I feel like I like in a completely different world then they are. So it's fun to get together with people that geek out about the same things I do.

That's cool - Thanks for the insight.

Yea - I've got nobody to commiserate with around here over all my pathetic AM attempts.

Just too much money for me to spend on non-family stuff - Besides more money for me to waste on my PPC campaigns :error:

Wishing you all a good time - Party on, Garth...

Figures after I book the Hilton everyone decides to stay somewhere else. :(

I'm still booked there and I'll probably be too lazy to actually switch. If I would have known before I would have probably just done the London though.
