Just booked my flight and the hilton last night. Getting in the 8th and not leaving until the 15th. They didn't let me do the $199 rate, and I'm not sure if thats because they ran out, or if I just booked it outside of the accepted dates.

No, they didn't have the option available to do 2 seperate rates, the only thing I could do is get all of the nights at their regular rate.
 
Ok thanks to kingofsp for figuring this out. There's a shuttle that runs directly from the airport to the front door of the Hilton (not complementary). I called today and got the name.

It's super shuttle. The fee is usually 16 dollars. You can make reservations on their website once you have your info. They run from both LGA and JFK.

in the confirmation email it says that you must have a business card, photo id and be over 21 to attend. the photo id/21 isnt a problem but i dont have any biz cards -- do i really need to get like a biz card made to attend ase? is a credit card w/ biz name on it sufficient?
 
I'm game for a meetup. I'm local so getting a place for it is no big deal but getting a hopeful sponsors/networks attending is a tall order for me...

anyone want to partner up and get a WF meetup going?

Heads up the Westin Hotels (W) are much nicer then the Hilton NY, its convenient being around the conference site, but if you actually want a decent room, and are going to pay full rate anyway worth checking out the W or a similar hotel.
