Affiliate Summit East

I didn't go to the last ASE, but it seemed like the parties were a bit more exclusive.

u was chillin with the wrong peoples. Eli/turbo/bbwolfe/me and a bunch of others were all at the relatively exclusive advaliant party. I have no idea how much they run with advaliant but for the traffic I ran geoff pretty much hooked it up.

No vacation left at the day job.

Cue the lolz.

:(

I'm going just so I can confirm how real Dullspace and Circa really are. Nways I'll buy anyone a drink if they walk towards me pointing and screaming JUNTAO multiple times. Rush Hour style.

yeah, cuz we all know texas and the carolinas are FAR more exciting

lol, i meant the show.

Adtech > affiliate summit east anytime, you are not going to find 30 different traffic sources at any affiliate summit, simply because they don't give a crap about affiliates. You are only going to find a crap loads of affiliate networks telling you they got the best offer and highest payout.

This alone makes SF show so much better than NY.

ASW is good because it is at Vegas and west coast has a hell lot bigger affiliate base than east coast, so networking wise, ASW beats ASE imo

You really don't need that day job

If you want to party, just hang w/ Ferris... awwoooooooooo......

I'm planning my wedding for the day before the show, so i probably will skip it.

for noobs, here's your success plan: get the silver pass and meet as many people as you can. make some friends. tell them your secrets, get their secrets, write them down and email them to me, avoid the sessions, hang out at the c2m booth (they have a keg and a lot of top affiliates), talk to more people, go to the parties, arrange dinners with 6-12 people and get a network to pay, don't overload on schwag, be careful who you give your business card to because they WILL call you for weeks on end after the show, and number 1, follow up with the people you want to stay in touch with after the show, then email me all their secrets, youre welcome

comparing ad-tech to aff summit is like comparing apples and oranges

IMO adtech -> traffic sources / exclusive offers or meeting advertisers / some fun
AFF summits -> Networks / meet affiliates / great fun

last years best party was apparently sybarite's party. I missed that since I only flew in the next morning.

But I'm gonna be in NYC this year again. Can't wait to hit up central park in august and do some "sightseeing" there ;)

Honestly I'm not even gonna get myself a pass this year. It's just not worth it since its the same shit on a different day (plus I wonder what kind of interesting book Shawn will "write" this time). Just make sure that some friends of yours grab a few party invites that are being given away on the floor and network with people at the party.

Affiliate summits are the best place to network and to get to know people that you've communicated with. Its also a great opportunity for affiliate managers to show their affiliates know how much they appreciate their hard work. What would you guys recommend I do to show my love for my affiliates?

420 in Amsterdam + you pay for it = win

Hey Shawn why NYC again? I hate going to ASE and then Adtech both in NYC. Was really nice to have ASE in a different city then Adtech for us peeps that travel in. Miami was fantastic. Chicago would be fun. New Orleans?
