Are the party hookups in NYC going to be harder to come by that Vegas? I didn't go to the last ASE, but it seemed like the parties were a bit more exclusive. I just happen to have some very specific niches/networks I deal with, who are lame and don't throw parties. My rep from my largest network source couldn't get me a platinum pass to ASW last time (and I actually wanted to go to 2 sessions), and when I met him, he had a platinum pass for himself because "we had some extras and no publishers asked for them".

I might make it up for NYC - NYC sure beats the Carolinas. Having lived in NYC for a few months in the past, I'll definitely try to show up, even if just for chillin in the city for a few days.

But why does McSorley's have to be quite the distance from the conference?...
