Ad:Tech London

it was pretty weak last year imho. i was hoping to get more out of it. met a lot of cool people of course, but the show was just small.

I'll be there for sure.

I'm interested in new traffic sources that can supply UK/South Africa dating traffic.

Happy to meet affiliates interested in partnership and agencies that can supply the volume.

See you there.

School's only just gone back, you won't be missing much so go to Adtech and talk to people from every stand. You'll learn way more than you would at a day at school. See you there.

Brilliant :D

More importantly, who was there last year? Would it be worth bunking school for?
You don't need to be suspicious about it. Don't go to school, when they ask why you weren't in, tell them you went to an industry conference. Go into more detail when they start questioning. I know it's just school, but act professional about it, show them your adtech badge or something to prove it. Tell them you're not going to miss career opportunity because of 2 days of school. Blag your way throught it man, just use your head. If they start trouble look at them as if they're crazy or something.

If you're doing A or AS Levels getting this sort of education is worth a couple of days that you can make up. This isn't exam season (if you've got some resits ignore all of this). If you're doing something like Economics or something technology related you could even try to make this into a project and talk some teacher into thinking this is a good idea, but it's probably late for that.

There are only two dangers (and I went through A Levels years ago) the first is if it's close to an exam and the second is if you make a habit of it. Bunking off for A Levels regularly really does build up and messes your future up. I saw it happen to my brother. But once or twice is fine. It's the difference between catching a cold and being off ill for three months.

Chances are you'll probably get in everywhere lol.
Sweet :D

Haha will do :D Will there be many around my age, just out of interest?

Thanks, good idea. I'm seriously considering leaving halfway through this year anyway, so meh, might as well go :D

Thanks, and no resits :) I do do Economics, but as you said, it's probably a bit late, not to mention the shit I'd get from other people if I told them. Thanks again. :)

P.S. Anyone got any ideas for what to tell my friends? I'd never hear the end of it if I told the truth! :p

Also, while my school may be ok with it, if I don't ask in advance, it's unauthorised absense. I suppose they wouldn't mind too much though.

Thanks again,
Joe

Sex change operation. They'll never make any jokes about that.

Seriously, just tell the school on Monday. Say it's an unavoidable family thing.

Awesome idea, I think I now have a funeral to be at next week... :D

EDIT: Oh yeah, also, my mum won't be cool with me bunking, so I'm not gonna tell her about it. Will I be missing much by leaving at 2:30-3ish each day? I'm in Hemel Hempstead, so it takes about an hour to get back on the train from Olympia.
