So far, as usual, Ron Paul the only one speaking the truth and making sense. The moderators (although ignoring him quite a bit) has been extremely fair and the debate has been excellent thus far.

Yeah, looking and sounding good so far. It will be interesting to see what happens when they allow the candidates to ask each other questions next.

The media CONTINUES TO IGNORE HIM !

While it was obvious that Ron Paul got less than his fair share of time, and you KNEW that none of the other candidates would direct a question to Paul during the candidate asks candidate segment, I thought Ron Paul performed less than par tonight. And yes... RP is "my guy" as of today.

In all honesty, I just didn't think he spoke with the clarity, distinction and focus he has in previous debates. He was bumbling with his words a lot and didn't seem well spoken. He just didn't "act the part" of a president. While it might be his policies that SHOULD decide his electability... he won't win if he continues this type of mediocrity. Americans want a president with CONVICTION - and while Paul has that - it didn't shine through tonight. I even thought Huckabee and Giuliani did better... and I hate both of them. Given his fair share of time he may have done better.

On the other hand, Romney was very clear, concise and direct and I felt he performed best which you could call "winning the debate". Although, I think "winning the debate" is a pretty senseless concept considering you wouldn't give someone the W if you totally disagree with their opinion.

Something else i was TOTALLY curious about is whether this recording was taped on delay. After an early Ron Paul answer, when he received an applause in the middle of it, he is abruptly cut off at the end of his answer and they seem to "cut" to the next question. It almost seemed as if they simply cut out an applause at the end using their delay time. But... I could be completely wrong - that just came to mind when it happened.

On that last note, I just watched the video again (Video 3 above) and they definitely didn't cut. Facilitator just made sure to jump right into the next question as quick as possible.

But that Romney thing was insane - every question is a softball when you have someone giving you tips in your ear all night. Eager to see the media and Romney camp response to this...

Well it was either one of two things: The moderators are throwing people softballs immediately after asking a question, or the other possibility is that two of the moderators were trying to converse with each other and this one accidentally got picked up by the mic. Either way, definitely weird.

Also, is it just me or is the whole team of candidates talking a lot more about the constitution and how we shouldn't be borrowing money from China? Seems awful familiar to me...

I wish Ron Paul would have toned down his foreign policy rhetoric in the earlier debates and talked more about his economic and monetary policies. With an uncertain economy and recession I think his support numbers would thrive if he gets his economic brilliance out there. Everyone knows he is against the war, I think his economic solutions would bring more voters to him.

I think we should examine the evidence before we jump to conclusions about political party conspiracies.

I don't think there is any reason to fear at this point. The smart people will make money, even during a recession.

Um there is a possibility of a recession, but one hasn't actually happened. A recession is characterized as two consecutive quarters of negative GDP growth. There hasn't been one since 2001.
