Your first ever payday with affiliate marketing.

My first affiliate paycheck was from 2008 - $100, the threshold for adsense (took 3 months to get there, like a boss).

Bought some weed - I remember it being really good weed.

My first internet payday would have been a couple years before that though, when I sold my first website. It was a photo hosting website I sold for $2k. I cannot explain in words how good the weed I smoked that week was.

Earn monies? I thought the internets was about producing high quality unique content for people to use and be delivered in the best possible way!

Now I'm annoyed... :<

Sold a shitty web directory for $3k. Put all of it into YSM selling ringtonez.

Should have sold my shitty web directory. But then, even the guys at dp thought it sucked.

First check was from Clickbank in 2008 for selling some shitty antivirus software. Took me several weeks to finally cross the threshold.

Pushed product serial generation software that my buddy dev'd
Did $2k in sales in the first week and got to keep $1200 of it
Was a pretty big deal because I had never had more than $250 to my name prior to that

Eventually ended up pretending to be some guru fag in the same niche and was selling 400 word ebooks for $500 a pop

I don't remember my first payment but I do remember my first big money day. I had been running a PPC campaign for a rebill offer on Yahoo for a couple of weeks and every day I'd end up breaking even, losing a few bucks or making a few bucks. Then after yet another round of bid adjustments I think I finished the day up about $50 and thought OK, I might be making progress.

Next day I finished up over $500 and that's when I finally believed 100% that I could earn a living doing affiliate marketing. For me it never mattered if I could make a few hundred bucks spending money, I wanted to earn more than I would at a real job before I would take it seriously. $500 profit in one day showed me all I needed to see.

That's the best thing that can happen to a newbie marketer. I have a similar experience, this one day I put out my own product, went to sleep and woke up to $400. Looking back it might seem like nothing but that's the actual breakthrough moment when you realize as a marketer.. you bout that life.

Made a very crap Adsense site back in 2008 but wasn't until almost 2010 that I crossed the threshold after reading some guru course on it. Around the same time was doing some CB so can't remember which one paid me first.

Made my first cents with adsense a year ago, and cb 33$ 2 weeks ago. Reinvested in a new site, and another new site.

So by the end of this year i should be on my way to be an IM.

I also make money offline, from my webtraffic.

But i just started with all of this, this year and have made a living so far. But nothing more.

Great link:) loved reading the posts

My very first check was from Cash Crate where I filled out surveys for internet monies.

My second was from an actual Affiliate Network and was $300 something made during my first active week of affiliate marketing.

I was stoked, couldn't believe you could make money at home. I love that it is performance based, I dont feel like im trading hours for money; it feels more like trading work for money.
