Your first ever payday with affiliate marketing.

In 98 or 99 I started out buying 1mil gold off ebay on ultima online servers for $50. I would then sell 100k for $10 each off various trading forums. This lasted for 3-4 months before the margins were gone.

I bought my first car, 93 ford escort stick shift. Only took me 2 months to burn out the clutch trying to race at stop lights.

$20 through a webcam porn site. I use to roll around naked on my bed for tips. One guy accidentally tipped me $20 and got upset and demanded I give the money back. I took the money and ran. Used the $20 to outsource my work to a hooker and I've been ballin ever since. I own like 3 webcam sites now.

That was you????
I want my $20 back, you thief.

$28.95 from Neverblue a few days short of 3 years ago. I was promoting some car insurance offer through article marketing lol. Used that money toward a month of SENuke...

I started on GFY back in like 06 and got my first check from Nastydollars, made it to the Playboy mansion (twice). Then after porn became unwatchable moved my ass over here.

Lol the memories, I also found this pic from a couple years ago where I'm holding clickbank checks my bro forgot to cash in

$200 from maxbounty.

Actually it wasn't a payday.

I was filling out their mortgage loan offers using bogus information like

first name: "aklsdjflkasdjf"
addresss: "ksaljfdsa"

I did this like 4 times on the same offer all within 10 minutes, and when I saw the $$ rake up in my affiliate account I thought to myself "God damn you're a suave ass baller "

Granted, I did this when I was 14 y/o. I was so excited to get my $200 paycheck for only 10 minutes of work. Too bad I got instabanned. Fuck you maxsteve. Way to crush the dreams of a little teenager.

Had to be sometime around 2005 or so. The details are a bit fuzzy because I was smoking massive amounts of weed at the time. Marijuanas effects da memory. Anyways, it was shortly after I had just built my first adult sites and signed up for a few dozen adult affiliate programs... sad that I don't remember exactly which aff program was the first to mail me a check. Sales came pretty easy back then. Those days any idiot could build a crappy site, drop some links and start making teh monies.

I do remember the excitement I had making those first few sales though. Good times, good times.

At least you elevated the "click on my adsense to see if this shit works" concept.

Cheque from a4d. Reinvested into moar ppc. It was a surreal feeling cause most of the money was made while I was sleeping.

I don't remember my first payment but I do remember my first big money day. I had been running a PPC campaign for a rebill offer on Yahoo for a couple of weeks and every day I'd end up breaking even, losing a few bucks or making a few bucks. Then after yet another round of bid adjustments I think I finished the day up about $50 and thought OK, I might be making progress.

Next day I finished up over $500 and that's when I finally believed 100% that I could earn a living doing affiliate marketing. For me it never mattered if I could make a few hundred bucks spending money, I wanted to earn more than I would at a real job before I would take it seriously. $500 profit in one day showed me all I needed to see.

Right on. I remember a couple years ago sitting at my desk, a $200 commission came in for something, can't remember what, plus a few other smaller commissions that same day. That plus client billing and the day came out to ~$480. Had the same feeling.

My first affiliate monies was a check from Clickbank. It is pinned uncashed to my office wall above my desk where it will stay for the remainder of my years, watching over me knowingly as I make teh internet monies.

It was in 2009 actually. Facebook (in partnership with VISA) had free $100 ad vouchers per account. You could make one account per email ID - they didn't really care.

There are still posts about that offer - https://www.google.com/search?q=facebook+visa+100+voucher

That was my first experience in IM - I was essentially playing with house money as I wasn't sure if this whole "internet marketing" thing was real. Back then, the "Zwinky/MyWebFace" offers were all the rage on facebook. What I did was rip those creatives and try them on international just to see what would happen given how international had ZERO competition compared to US traffic.

Well...first day, I spent $70 and did about $900 in revenue. That began my journey...The first country was Argentina that paid around 12 cents per install. My EPC was around $0.2 and CPC was about $0.03

I quickly set up other neighboring countries (Chile, Colombia, etc) and once that was set up and all had equal (if not better ROI).

I then set up Europe campaigns. Germany, Spain, Italy, Ireland, UK. It was a pretty much a gravy train. The creatives had a massive CTR, conversion rate via direct linking was excellent and I was still playing on house money. 4 figures a day in revenue and profit was really easy.

I had a forum surrounding music and studio engineering. I sold boatloads of products all around the world, recorded and mixed locally, but moreso online. People would shoot me files and I'd send them back a masterpiece. I created and sold instrumentals, my own music, t-shirts, stickers, guest appearances, mixing, all dat shit. I was collecting cash and checks through the mail like a bowse. This was late high school, after my much earlier foray into Geocities lol.

Later, I put Adsense on the forum and the rest was history. Took a few years for me to consider it seriously while wasting time in college, another year to take action while wasting time in a day job, then I was off! Been a great ride since.
