Hard question to answer, what do you know how to do?
Have you developed websites before?
Have you done PPC before?
Without knowing where you stand its kinda hard to tell you what to invest in online because of the various methods that is used to make your online fortune.
Are you just wanting to give the money to someone or a company to invest online, im sure there are plenty of people who will do that.
Once you answer the above questions your question will be able to be answered better.

I just wanna add that I lost 5k or so in the first 2 months doing affiliate marketing.
I could have been more cautious, but I got a lot of valuable testing data out of it and started earning a positive income in the 3rd month.

Try out anything or everything, there's not a lot in this business that requires a huge investment upfront.
No offence but $5K holy fuck what were you thinking and you must already have a decent job to drop that much in two months.
At least you got some good data out of it at least and its good that you've started making money in month 3, you'd be fucked after a year of loosing $2500 a month.

Heres a tip... Dont start a fucking credit card website... Thats the first site I developed and what a big fucking mistake that was...

Learn about arbi or affiliate marketing. Search around for some FREE coupons. Go thru the google adwords learning center. Big thing is learn how to defeat the quality score in adwords. Once you can do that you're all set. Don't pay too much. Once you're getting positive ROI that you're happy with and it should be 3:1 at least. Roll it out a little bit more and your ROI will most likely drop some don't go below 2:1. That's better ROI than most any business besides real estate. And with real estate 90% of the time you've got to take on pretty huge ass risks and you don't see your money that quick. THEN! go fill out credit card applications. Rob banks. Steal from your parents. Steal from your kids. And roll that bitch out. Once you get your check. Pay off your credit cards... and spend all you got left back into it and then max out your credit cards again. also rob more banks and start having more children so you can rob them!
Its simple really. Your favorite activity or hobby that you know a lot about + buy domain + buy hosting + buy web dev software if needed.
With a good site and product focus, you'll start earning money just using PPC and trading links.
