It's one of those damned if you do, damned if you don't situations. Ultimately it's Jon's decision. I can see what he is trying to do here. I for one would feel better about doing business with someone here if there was a vetting process in place.
On another note..... Have any of you noticed that there are more BST ads than other posts here lately? Something to think about.

Charging fees to post doesn't necessarily mean there will be more quality threads (ie: warriorforum), but it will help cut down on the massive amount of junk that is posted.
This change should also hit the Hosting & Domains forum. Either that, or advertising in that forum should just be a bannable offense all together.

In a response to Jon's post about charging fees to service providers in the BST section to weed out the shitty scammers, Pakistanis and Indians rioted today, shouting "Death to Israel" in the streets.
The economies of both countries will be devastated due to the burden of fees to post in the WickedFire BST section.
Official Indian spokesman Sumit has yet to comment.

Some advantages
1. The quality providers should have no problem recouping the listing fees after just a few sales.
2. They'll also have a lot less competition without the thousands of BHW fags flooding in with new accounts and all the reposters which will push more sales to the good providers.
3. A lot less for the moderators to deal with. (As an ex mod I can vouch that moderating the BST is a fuckin nightmare as is).
4. Service providers will be less likely to collect then not fullfill their services, cus they'll want good reviews. Which will give buyers a better experience.
5. It'll make wickedfire some monies so Ben can quit eating top ramen while having to deal with whiney ungrateful bitches all the time.
6. FREE KASHMIR FOR ALL!

I can really understand the purpose of doing this.
Some suggestions have been made here but there is nothing like paying money to demotivate trolls from gaming.
You may also consider implementing a minimum post count to be involved in the marketplace. Most forums I've been on require 100 posts. This would provide dual layer security in keeping out the trolls.
100 posts + $10 or $15 /each topic seems to be a functional combination on other forums. If you wanted it to be by membership then you could do 100 posts + $50 or $100 or whatever but it would be a one time cost. Maybe premium members don't require the 100 posts.
Maybe there just isn't enough time to even bother with the post count as you'll have the new system setup soon enough.

Totally agree. A lot of fuckers will still pay the $30 knowing they can recoup their money quite easily since there are shitloads of buyers in this forum.
I've seen a lot forums where it's X number of posts + X number of days membership minimum.
Since the mods are pretty ban-tastic here with regards to trolls and bots I think in all honesty if you survive the first 100 posts on WickedFire your not 99% of the trolls that they are trying to eliminate from the MarketPlace.
