I got my site and campaign up and I thought it was gonna be specfuckingtacular. I was wrong.

I wanted to run this by you guys and see if you have any ideas. First, it's a saturated niche. I have a decent site built out for it. The landing pages are dynamic, and puts the keyword in the title tag, meta tags, h1, and in multiple places in other on page text.

Not long after I got this thing running, I got hit with $60-$90+ min bids. Holyfuckinshit. I didn't get enough impressions to justify a shitty ctr imho.

A couple things: this is a new adwords account and one campaign that I ran had impressions through the roof but a terrible ctr. This only happened for one campaign though, which I have paused.

I'm not really sure how to get this trainwreck back on track. I can't really insert the keyword anywhere else unless I add a lot of text to the page, and there are already quite a few paragraphs. I just don't understand a QS of 1-3 on most of the keywords. Any ideas?

I'm trying to use adwords but got hit with $20 min bids while MSN and Yahoo! is 10 cents. I won't give up Google!

Is this a trademarked term?

What are you NOT doing that the other people on the page are?

Trademarked terms I can generally get away with for a while, but the ones I am really getting fucked on are general. And it's not just one term, its multiple campaigns full of them.

I can't see anything that I'm not doing MORE than other sites there. Obviously I'm missing something.

Problem is, it's insurance and there is usually only one affiliate site (sometimes none) in the ads on the first page.

I've never really tried a niche like this. I knew it was gonna be pricey to get into buy damn.

google doesn't like your lander. just cause you echoed the keyword through the page a few times doesn't mean jack shit.

google wants;

-sitemaps
-unique content
-customer reviews
-product comparisons
-ratings

etc, etc, etc
