Hey Paul, I am using it on german sites as well so thats not a problem. From all given reviews you should really considering of buying a license for your projects :)

About to buy this later today.

Has anyone tried running this simultaneously with auction2post? I'm sure they'll play nicely but want to hear if anyone else has had good or bad experiences with the two running on the same site.

Thanks!

kanehood, I know someone is running alongside phpBay, but no one has told me about using it with auction2post yet. When you try it, let me know how it works out. (it should work perfectly)

No problem, I am the same guy, who wrote you an email asking you about a german version. I found this thread through google, cause I got no answer form your website. So i decided to register here and possibly get a chance to try for free.

I definitely replied to your e-mail last night. No, you can't have it for free.

I've got a site that I'm currently redoing that was strictly Auction2Post, but I'm integrating WPZonBuilder into it as well now. So far everything seems to be working fine for me with no issues between the two plugins.

That's good enough for me. Thanks for the help, can't wait to get started on this tonight.

Much easier than my old process of using Amazon scraper > WFReview + amazon API to pull the ASIN. That sucked.

Using auction2post to pull in "unique" content from eBay and then using WPZonBuilder in the a2p template is a smart move to create some sweet mashup sites. WPZonBuilder allows for more uses beyond that as well of course. Parent categories of Amazon and eBay would potentially allow someone to create instant shopping sites with each category being populated (ideally into sub categories) by a2p and WPZonBuilder.

WPZonBuider: great product, great support.

This is a very impressive plugin.

Installation and setup is logical and straightforward, the UI is well laid out and easy to understand. The options for customisation are extensive and overall it's a joy to use.

Sorry this isn't more in-depth, but there's not much else to say really. It basically does exactly what it says, making creating niche amazon aff sites so fucking easy.

Here's a site I put up in literally minutes: The Imagined Village (Yeah, I know it needs work, but it's a good example of how fucking easy this plugin is to use... and something I'm happy to share as I'd be amazed if anyone here has even heard of them let alone competing!)

Although it's near-perfect, there's a couple of small things that would bring it closer to perfection for me:

The option to search only the title. Some searches can bring up a lot of unwanted items, searching title only would be quicker than search, add neg matches, search, add more negs.

The option to map WPZonBuilder custom fields to other custom fields. I use custom fields a fair bit and have themes using stuff like brand or price for navigation. If I could easily map say amzn_Manufacturer to my_custom_field it would be really handy, especially for integration with other plugins such as a2p.

Additionally, and this is a bit bigger, geo-targeting would be a great feature.

Maybe use the maxmind db? (It works well with phpbay for example) Not sure how it would work as items are different on different sites, but just changing the links based on the visitors IP would be useful.

Overall I really impressed with this and highly recommend it. Forgot to mention the support is first class too.

I was all set to purchase phpzon tonight as so sick of EPN, I want to venture into Amazon world. Luckily I have just noticed this thread and after reading all the reviews, it is a no brainer I'm going to purchase tonight.

Excellent marketing idea giving so many review copies, I don't think anyone reading this thread could not go ahead with the product.

Review copy left?

If there is a review copy left I would very much like to give this one a try´and report back. Have used WP-robot, Reviewazon and Auto estore and it would be interesting to compare

I discovered the plugin 'All in One Adsense and YPN' is not compatible with this plugin. I thought it would be worth mentioning on the thread. Basically it made all my listings disappear, only leaving the title and comments visible.

Quick amazon question, I am a uk affiliate selling UK products, can non UK customers buy from uk amazon e.g. would they send items to USA canada? Products not available on US amazon.

Teetra, Amazon UK will ship to the US, but on some items, Amazon has what they call "delivery restrictions." For example, if a PC game has been released earlier in the UK than it has in the US, Amazon UK won't ship it to a US address.

chuckie, there are two ways to integrate WPZonBuilder with 3rd party plugins.

1) On the Integration page, enter the shortcodes required by the 3rd party plugin.

2) On the Edit Post page for posts generated by a 3rd party plugin, scroll to the WPZonBuilder section and fill in the form to do an inline insert of Amazon products.

edit: stop asking for review copies unless you have a popular blog that you're going to review it on. Anyone can make an informed decision by reading the numerous reviews already posted in this thread.

I think seo_mike should review this. He is my Oprah!!!

I don't buy shit unless he endorses it. I also think he should do an auction2post style tutorial for us all!!

Hint effing hint :P

(told you I would get you in trouble with the wife Mike, lol)

KEKEKEKEKEKEKEKEKE

okay, i'll stop posting kekeke in your thread. +rep for the cool script as usual.

My wpzon doesn't load my amazon products...please help

I have installed wpzon and added all my amazon affiliate info, but no picture or info about the product is coming up except
list price
sale price
see details

Where the picture would be there is the little red x

In the wpzon options page underneath the update settings button it says:

"An error has occurred, which probably means the feed is down. Try again later"

I am assuming that means that the feed to Amazon is down. Does this happen often or have I done something wrong? I would really appreciate any help as I am stumped.

Thanks

OK, I've had a chance to play with the plugin for a few days and it's great, and powerful like everyone says. Definitely a great Amazon solution and reasonably easy to use once it's installed.

No need to keep saying how great it is for the price, so I'm going to throw out a wish list for some new features:

  1. The templates aren't that easy to jump in and edit on your own. Is there a quick guide to template editing that I missed or could one be whipped together?
  2. Ability to add data to custom fields

(Specifically, the abiliity to put the image URL in an "a2p_image" custom field in order for this plugin to play nicely with Auction2Post's custom themes.)

Templates already use [MediumImage], it seems like it would be easy to use those tags for custom fields.
  3. I'd love an easy way to (A) specify a custom directory for button image files and B) specify custom file names for each particular button.

    e.g. clickhere.png instead of moreinfo.png.

I don't like having the footprint of wp-content/plugins/amzn/buttons/moreinfo.png in all of my posts...
  4. Get rid of that damn weasel... ticked me off having to delete posts just to figure out what the Weasel template was. I had to delete them because I didn't read anywhere that you could easily switch templates *after* you posted.
Also, I think #2 and #3 would both fit well together under a "Image Settings" tab for the plugin.

Other than that, I love it, thanks again for the great support via PM so far.

kanehood, thanks for the suggestions. I'll definitely be addressing 1, 2, and 3 in 1.2/2.0.

I'll mention that the templates can be changed at any time, but the weasel must stay.

What specific questions do you have regarding editing templates? If you open the template files, you'll see they are just straight HTML with tags like [title], [DetailPageURL], etc. which are replaced with the product title, URL on Amazon, etc.

I have installed wpzon and added all my amazon affiliate info, but no picture or info about the product is coming up except

You're not using WPZonBuilder. You're using something called "Wpzon Plugin for Wordpress" - something I don't know anything about. I'd contact the developers of that plugin if you want support - or just get WPZonBuilder.

From what I saw of "Wpzon Plugin for Wordpress" in your admin panel, WPZonBuilder is far superior.
