mindmade, don't worry about it at all. Maybe I should re-consider forcing deadline for review copies. Thanks for the feedback on Associate IDs, I'll see about improving the ease-of-use of this functionality.

I actually paid for this so this isn't a review as such but anyway, I played with the plugin a little yesterday and so far have been mostly pleased.
A couple of points to add :

It really does need some bulk import features. Say I have a search that I want to use that returns thousands of products, it would be great if I could just hit 'add all to queue', give them a category, tell it not to post duplicates and post them between now and a year or so's time or X number a day. Instead of having to click on each one to add it to the queue which is kind of monkey work.

I was impressed by the integration with shortcode plugins but it would be nice if there was a way to define whether the integrated plugins show up in excerpts or not. Currently I have excerpts for the homepage turned on and am using phpbay after the amazon post and this leads to all the phpbay auctions showing up under the excerpt on the front page.

Other than that in the templates I added the product title as alt text to the product image and made the amazon links nofollow which took 2 minutes but would perhaps make sense to include by default.

Overall a pretty good plugin, nice work.

My review is a few days late due to some initial technical difficulties.

I guess they weren't technical difficulties, but more like me being a retard.

I'm going to echo a lot of the same points as above, but overall this is a great plugin and I really look forward to building out some sites with it.

Bulk add needed. I'm looking forward to the updated version that has bulk adding. It would make life much easier.

The more I use The Best Spinner the more I want to use spinning on everything I do. This plugin would really benefit from being able to spin product titles and descriptions.

I didn't mess with templates too much. Mainly because it integrated nicely into my existing theme, so there was no need for me to mess with them.

Overall, it's just a nice simple plug and play way to make some money. No crazy settings to adjust, simple point and click options, and all you need to do is promote. If you bought it, it should be easy to recoup your initial investment.

Apologies for posting this review late – due to the bad weather we had in the Northeast, we lost internet for almost four days.

WPZon Builder Review

I tested WPZon Builder side by side with ReviewAZON and came up with the following conclusions.

Pros

Easy to set up and start running the plugin. Directions are clear and steps are simple.
Searching for and adding posts is quick and easy, a bulk add feature would be nice and looks like it will be included in the updated version.
The posts are simple and attractive just like ReviewAZON with the ability to add videos.
Amazon reviews are posted as comments, not like ReviewAZON which included them in the post.

Things that we would like to see changed

Setting the customer reviews sort order doesn’t work. I have my sort order set to overall rating highest first but when checking the actual posts, the reviews are all over the place with many bad reviews in between good reviews and bad reviews posted first.

When posting the products you have in your queue, you can only choose one category to list them in, if the products fall into multiple categories, you have to go into the post draft and manually add the additional categories. This is really annoying because I like to cross post whenever possible to make it easier for readers to find what they’re looking for.

Overall I really like the WPZon Builder plugin, it gives results that are very similar to ReviewAZON but seems to be a bit easier to use. When the few issues are worked out, I would certainly use WPZon mainly for the reviews posted as comments feature (which is a awesome feature and saves a ton of time)

Great point. I'll get this feature in a future version.

If you wouldn't mind, can you tell me exactly what settings you have on your Settings page, and what Amazon product specifically (I just need the ASIN) is having the reviews show up in the wrong order?

WPZonBuilder 1.1 is coming out very soon.

Some of you complained that it looks bad to have the comment date be earlier than the date of the post. If this is an issue for you, now is the time to tell me exactly how you want this feature to work.

Should I include an option to make the comment date later than the post? The same time as the post? Random, within a specifiable number of days of the date of the post.

I think the best way to do it is to make all comment dates as later than the post date as the default. I cant even imagine anyone wanting it before. I mean how can they comment on a thread that aint there?

The first comment could be on the post date or a little after with the following comments to be spread along some time. Future commenting would be nice but might need a CRON or something.

Cant wait for 1.1!

As for my problems with one of my hosting accounts I fixed the CURLOPT FOLLOW LOCATION problem by changing on line 337:

Code:
        curl_setopt($curl_handle, CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION, true);

To:

Code:
        curl_setopt($curl_handle, CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION, 0);

I guess I did not really need it. I have products and can post them. I think there is a way to force FOLLOWLOCATION but cant find it online. This is crappy shared hosting and I dont have root access.

I can't remember if this was mentioned, but CRON for the amazon data regeneration would be a plus so we can set-and-forget our sites. CRON of regen with some delay so we don't hammer by trying to update 500 products at one time.

Looks great. I installed and it ran some searches.

Now you can set things like:

Max. Price

Min. Price

Min. Avg. Rating

Min. Cust. Reviews

for Products to display. It is not flawless as it depends on difference in how items are posted but it seems much more likely to have good items at the top now.

Also when pulling queued items into a category (or cateogories) you can now do check boxes for these:

Use random date (after post date) for posted reviews.

Integrate with All-In-One SEO Pack.

Make links to Amazon rel='nofollow'

It just keeps getting better. Download the new version or get it if you dont have it.

Looks promising and thanks for the negative search, great add-on ;-) If you can get a hold of additional scraped content (videos, news, wiki etc.) like we have spoken over IM I think this is a KILLER :)

Sorry for the double post but the plugin doesn't output any prices if I use the german amazon affiliate program. Doesn't matters which sorting order is set there isn't any price assigned in the "add to queue" page. If I click on the product title I see the price on the amazon site though. Not sure if you got a filter with Euro/Dollar or something like that...

Some more additions:

- Tabbed menu instead of the vertical one
- Lots more scraped content which can be mixed into the products
- Custom icon (

) If you like it just take it :)

I've been using this for a few days and love it, quick question though. If I throw this on shared hosting should I be concerned about how many products I add to the que or can I just let it rip?

Can I have a review?

I have a new domain that is money (100k direct matches, I have .com) but I haven't had the time to develop something due to other campaigns.

If this is that easy to set up, I'd love to give it a whirl and write a good review. Will even throw money at some SEO stuff to get traffic and let you know how it converts.

Thanks,
Berto

ayzo, the only thing I can say is that really depends on the host.

WPZonBuilder is pretty good about resource usage. You should be fine if you're importing less than a few hundred products at a time.

I haven't had any customers tell me their hosts have complained (yet), and I know some have done 1000+ products at once.

Berto, I'm PMing you now.

Moin Moin, (as we say here in Hamburg/Germany)
...Great first post dude.
No problem, I am the same guy, who wrote you an email asking you about
a german version. I found this thread through google, cause I got no answer
form your website. So i decided to register here and possibly get a chance to
try for free. Sorry, that I could not find any restrictions about not posting
here.

Ahoi!
