One of the toughest things about being a web developer is that I sit on my ass all day. I've been making more of an effort to work out lately, and was just wondering what you guys do.

I ran cross country and played tennis in high school (and coached both at the high school level for a couple of years) so I've been getting back into running, and I try to play tennis at least once a week. I also lift a couple of times a week, but I have to confess that even though the results are good I just can't stand lifting.

So what do you guys do? Anyone have a room set aside for a home gym?

I visit the fitness center at least twice a week, but not for bodybuilding.

Crosstrainer, running, stretching (very important), sauna etc.

Now it's summer and I also go swimming again, jogging, playing Tennis. You can get problems with your back pretty fast without practising sports.

Yup, I have been turning into a fat geek for the last year. Prior to that I ran 5 miles every day.

I am going to have to get back into running. I will probably start getting up early for the gym/run to and I have just started playing basketball 3 times a week.

In three months I should be fit again.

I have a home gym but I never use it because I have a membership to a local gym as well. I just find I am a lot more motivated when there are people around/watching.

It is good to get out and be social a little bit as well.

I work out about 6 days a week.

This is my life: ( in a nut shell of course)

1) Make money on the internet
2) Get girls
3) Work out 6 times a week. ( lifting chest and back, 2 days, Arms 1 day, Legs 1 day, and cardio abs racquetball and swimming everyday as well.)
4) Practice tricking ( gainers, standing flips, flips off the walls, front flips, etc)
5) riding my longboard( type of skateboard meant to go down hills)

I really enjoy all aspects of my life.

If you want to learn more about working out then come check out my board, lots of helpfull members on there.

I used to run crosscountry too... now I'm just getting fat as well haha

Really need to make it to the gym on a reg basis

I play tennis just about daily. I used to lift but my wrists are so screwed up I can't anymore, which really sucks.

I need to get back into the routine. Soccer just ended for me, and that was my workout. I love to go mountain biking and such, but just can't seem to make it to the gym on a regular basis.

Up until last month I worked out six days a week (five days with a personal trainer) - Rode dirtbikes 2-3 times a week. The trainer moved to Russia with her husband for his job - Was injured on the bike and down for 3 weeks then food poisoning for a week - Time to get off my butt before I can't...

Sounds like quite the busy life.

I went through a phase when I first started working from home full time on my sites when I didn't work out at all. I basically sat in front of the computer for 8+ hours straight every day with no breaks.

Once I started working out regularly again I started noticing a huge improvement in my mood, focus, and productivity. If you ask successful business people if they work out regularly, I'll bet that most would say yes.

I jog every morning and do some push-ups and crunches. When I have extra time, I try to lift, and I'm hoping to find the time to add some swimming to the mix.

What's wrong with your wrists Andrew, carpal tunnel? I'm starting to feel some symptoms of this and I'm getting a little worried...

Gym 4 days a week in the mornings, skate or surf everday in the evenings. Eat healthy and make it a part of your life and there are no issues. You just have to be commited. Once you get goin' it's not difficult to maintain, but can be very tough to wake your fatass up at 5 in the morning to go to the gym.

I play basketball usually 3-4 times a week, but its been raining all week long. Damn rain.

I have a little trampoline; just jump on it for 15 minutes throughout the day and it really clears my head and pumps up my enrgy levels again
