Woke up with quarter-sized bald spot

Like the title says, I woke up this morning with a quarter-sized bald spot on the right side of my head, about an inch or two above the ear.

Random, indeed.

Anyone ever experience this? I'm 25 with a full head of hair, and no male pattern baldness in the fam.

I'm dying, aren't I?

You stressed out lately? I know there's a harmless condition and I don't know the name off the top of my head (i kid, i kid... no pun intended!) but it can cause what you're describing.
 
My friend had this, a trip to the dermatologist and a quick shot and he was good to go. It's common but I forget the name for it.
 
Is it circular with a raised red edge? Could be ringworm, which isn't actually a worm but some kind of fungus.

Not ring worm, had that once before in a sweaty man grabbing sport I once played.

I love when diagnosis range from "it could just be stress. Or..... It could be rabid herpes of the eye testicles cancer."

Dude this exact thing happened to me about a year ago, freaked my vain ass out. It just went away on it's own, after about 4 months. All I did was put anti fungal cream on it.

Yours could be cancer though. For sure.
