I had this EXACT same shit happen with her. Not only did I charge her ass back on paypal, but she only had $20 in there, then MONTHS later, came back with a sob story saying she "had a baby and wants to work things out" so she could get her paypal account back. Only can speculate that she was charged back so much, she had to go back to old accounts and beg pissed off customers to close the dispute.
I know my site was a rip off of one of the other people you did work for.
Usually you can tell if your site was rip off by the amazingly quick turnaround rate. Seems to me like the majority of these designers use pre made templates. A lot of them in the BST section have designs that look "generic."

I charge $300+ per PSD and still get plenty of work, almost ALL from WF. I could probably charge $1k and still get jobs, people actually do pay for quality. The big guys aren't usually buying $8 indian labor logos unless they need a LOT of them. There's two types of buyers around here, people who want it done cheap/fast, and people who want it done right and don't mind paying. Bring quality to the table and you can forget about these people pumping out $10 piece of shit LPs. That, or just keep doing what you're doing and deal with them.

I don't care if the client hired you to do it, I don't care if you just painted over it as a show piece. Fact is, you didn't design it, you just painted over my design and made it look ridiculous. I've been getting questioned by clients asking why I show that design as an example, and I have to explain to them every time that I didn't rip off your design (hah).
If anyone cares, I'll dig up timestamps and our old convo where she basically told me to fuck off, because she made it and "has the PSD"!

Web design is my passion, and I put as much effort and time into sites for clients as I do for my own. Everyone that has worked with me before knows that I love what I do and every design I create is tailored to the customer and started from scratch. Every Time.
I'm not the cheapest designer, and I understand where the OP is coming from. It's disheartening to see designers selling their "work" for less than half of my prices. But, you get what you pay for, and I think everyone on this forum understands that.
On another note, it looks like this thread backfired for the OP. But if what has been said about her services is true then it was only a matter of time before something like this happened.
