Setting aside all the fun I could be having posting silly pictures or otherwise detailing this dipshit newbie thread, let me point out some often-overlooked facts about WickedFire that make it different than any other marketing forum:
1) It is one of the only marketing forums online that has a sizable number of employees of affiliate networks on it -- from affiliate managers to pr bobbleheads to actual owners of networks, WickedFire has serious representation here. It is not unusual for someone having a problem with, or who has a question about, a given network to get an answer, because those questions are heard when they are asked here.
2) Unlike most other marketing forums -- hell, any kind of forum -- there is genuine freedom of speech and though encouraged here. Yes, many users are mean to newbies. But on the other end of that scale, there is virtually no benefit conferred from post count, rep or seniority. Veteran members, moderators and even the owner of WickedFire get called out on stuff, get into disagreements etc. and it's not InstaBan™ for the poor plebian. Like any other forum, there is a handful of veteran members who get a lot of respect and leeway around here, but unlike most of those other forums, around here it has nothing to do with how long they've been hanging out here, and everything to do with what they've done, what they've demonstrated about their knowledge of marketing, etc.
3) The only people trying to sell shit to other members on this forum are selling goods, services and virtual real estate. Nobody is selling anybody a "system to make $50 per day GUARANTEED!" or any such nonsense. The merest breath of that kind of thing is pretty much a Banhammer Event. It makes the environment very nice when the advice and commentary being given on a forum isn't a fucking lead-in to buy an ebook, sign up for a newsletter etc.
4) Tits. Lots and lots of tits.
I'm sure there are other things I'm forgetting, but those four are the main standout features.
