I don't get it. When you ask people how to start online they say some vague responses like...get a list, set ppc bla bla

But when someone as Ed Dale from 30DC tells you specific steps, everyone here says it's BS! I don't quite get this. Why do some people really hate 30DC? Is a part of this forum's culture to hate other sites or what?

What the fuck is a 30 day challenge?

And who the fuck is Ed Dale?

Let me give you a hint of what people here don't like.

It starts with e and ends with k, has two o's and might have a b in it as well.

I think people are generally skeptical of programs like that, because the program is designed to lure newbies in and make them think they are on the fast-track to affiliate riches. Then they use the program to sell all sorts of "great" affiliate tools to them. And the average person ends up buying stuff that isn't all that great, and not making much money.

i don't know ed dale but two things immediately jumped out at me about that page

- "This Years Challenge..." (the fuckin headline of the site) is missing an apostrophe
- It looks very spammy like he's pushing an ebook (dashed email boxes tend to do that)

but if his "challenge" and whatever he tries to sell you during/after the challenge works for some people, more power to you

And btw stop calling it a 30DC...sounds like you fall for so many of them that you have a fuckin abbreviation for it.

Picked up on this thread in my RSS feeds and felt the need to spread a little enlightenment.

Seems like there is some confusion what the 30 Day Challenge is...it is for n00bs and old timers alike who are taken through a set of steps (a process) to make $1 online. For free.

As much as possible this is done via testing via free platforms.

There are no expensive affiliate products for sale...nor anything for sale. I think the most expensive thing I have seen suggested a couple of years ago was an aweber account...wow that's really a rip off hey, like no one really needs one of those if they have a mailing list.

People doing the 30DC are actively discouraged from joining The Immediate Edge (Ed Dale and Dan Raine's membership site) because it is not a hand holding exercise like the 30DC is. It is for people who have more than half a clue. People coming back for their 2nd or 3rd year might want to join, and good on them, they would be better suited for it, but any mention of IE in the Thirty Day Challenge is to discourage newbies. At US$97 a month serious people may apply.

Not sure what the deal is with an eBook? Maybe people write them as a product sometimes as their product. There sure aren't any in the course. All teaching is freely available online in video format. If you want words usually someone doing the challenge will stick it into a transcript format...

Anyway hope that helps some people here who haven't taken a look understand a little about what the Thirty Day Challenge is all about...and yes Ed Dale is an atrocious speller, but he can afford to be.

I did it last year and it is totally free and he never did try to sell us anything.

He did, like his immediate edge membership site and his crap home study program dominiche.

Either way, there was very little money made the the participants, it was a joke, but he hyped it anyway. I made my first 0.29 cents!!! :)

you're a fucking spammer. how you've avoided the ban hammer is beyond me. Ed Dale is an out and out scammer, and that makes YOU an associate of his. You dumb little fuck.

Just for a lark I did it last year too. Partly because I wanted to see how he could guide and teach a large group and partly to see if there was anything in there I didn't know. I was fairly clueless about Web 2.0 stuff.

I learned things, and forced myself to follow his system. I didn't make any money in the 30 days from the two blogs I had, one on tumblr one on blogger. My tumblr one eventually got banned a month after the contest.

And I used to make my living solely off of Internet Marketing. So I wasnt a newbie. I think it would be easier to be a newbie on that system.

Nothing in there was groundbreaking. He also thinks throwing 20,000 people on one free blogging system, some web 2.0 sites, or making them all use the same tools or research keywords the same wont cause problems. Naive.

But he didnt try to sell too much. And his ideas on how to make a business and make it work long term are better than most resources.

It also forces people to do things now. Most people dont even try things. You have to set goals for yourself with firm dates. I have one in my mind, for July 1st launching a new site. And I dont have a domain, content, or any affiliate programs lined up.

I think a lot of newbies could do worse than the Thirty Day thing. Just promise yourself not to buy anything during or even for a few months after.

The great thing about ed dale is that hes got lots of people doing his spamming for him.

What kind of spamming man? Can you release something better than Thirty Day Challenge and give to beginners so they can get introduced to Internet marketing? d***head

Listen, you can blow Ed Dale for all I care. Discover the search function here and realize that there are at least 100 IM business plans that are better than the one you're spamming listed here already.

It's already been released fuckwad. It's called Wickedfire. Apparently you're too stupid and illiterate to figure that out.

So, say g'bye.

/me contacts pinurl to report as spam(he's used it 30+ other places)
Jesus.
We don't mind if someone sets up a legit way for newbies to learn. But you don't need to make them sign up for that shit. That just means you want to target the "sucker" demographic in your new email list.
Fuckin make a blog and make it free.
