Actually, now that we're mining Asteroids, I don't think it's so finite anymore.

Not to mention all of the other elements we could use, like Thorium.

I'm actually quite shocked that more countries dont consider Nuclear power as part of their energy supply mixes. Some of the new reactor designs are amazing and overall I believe the industry has demonstrated itself to be safe over the last 40 years.

At that time i was in germany and this was how it played out on tv. The one morning they send their experts (deutsches technisches hilfswerk - german technical help organization: THW - Startseite), the next morning they show a blurry video of how the shell disintegrates. And they were talking about a hydrogen explosion. Im not at all an expert on cooling stuff, but why use hydrogen? Maybe its superior to all other options, but if you try to prevent something from melting down, you might want to be a bit more careful on the blowing up side of things.

One of the biggest economies in the world with lots of tech companies probably hosts more than 1 solar panel producer. I was talking about the one that got started by the same guy who implemented the legislation that paved the way for heavily subsidizing the industry in order to take full advantage of it with his own company. Again, straight from mainstream media. This isnt my own conspiracy theory.
