wind is the future
Tidal and especially geo-thermal have a big future too IMO.

Does this look the the broken english forum of energy responsibility to you?
While we're on this subject, I realized that this Solar infographic that I've used once or twice before is on Germany too:
It's kind of old, I posted it here somewhere months before Fukishima.
WTF? Have they been planning a conversion from Nukes to Solar all this time, and Japan just gave them the excuse they were looking for?
I'm curious that since everyone on here is filthy rich why everyone hasn't already gone to solar/wind.
That makes no sense.
It's like some people talking about how gas fueled cars are bad for the environment and you chime in and say "Hey, if you are so rich, why don't you own teslas?"
Just stupid statement at so many levels...
I'm asking why people haven't put their money where their mouth is.
I'm rich, I haven't even looked at a utility bill in over a decade. The cost of energy is roughly 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000001% of my monthly earnings. I spend more per minute on fuel for my private jet.
High energy costs only affect the poor.
why the fuck did this get bumped?

not only that. when that whole fukushima thing happened, germany sent their very own specialized nuclear accident teams in. they went on tv explaining how theyre totally going to rock the situation. about 20 hours later, the concrete/steel shell that shields the outside from the core vaporizes because they happened to use the one chemical element to cool the core that is strong enough to produce such reactions. but they recovered from that by explaining how nuclear is apparently even more dangerous than expected because even their best in the world experts couldnt do shit about it. how convenient.
other than that, the heavily subsidized and only solar panel producer in germany recently went bankrupt because it couldnt keep up with overseas competition.
