Who's ready to get ASSRAPED on Jan 1?

LOL you honestly think in 50, 100, 1000 years there will be a 99% tax rate?

BAHAHAHAHA

I know you are deep into the conspiracy theories, and I agree with some of them, but I think you may have gone to far down the rabbit hole with this prediction....
I swear you picky fuckwits are going to make me take a WF Vacation...

Communism had a 100% tax rate, and if you add up all our taxes today it's FAR more than what the public thinks it is. :action-smiley-052:

Oh noes, some of you fuckers will have to go back to Clinton-era tax rates. Y'know, when the rich were still wildly successful and the middle class wasn't wallowing in stagnation or rapidly descending into poverty.

I don't want or need any of your money, why do you think you are entitled to mine?

Not sure if sarcasm but if not...

your tax bracket is determined by your income minus your personal exemption and other deductions (business, donations, etc). and then you obviously pay that percentage for whatever bracket you into out of your taxable income. so barry you might be somewhere in the 10% range and eliquid might be in the 15%.

I'm sure your responses are both troll responses but either way someone else can benefit from this.

I'll probably be 28% this year. Last year I was 33...fucking panda is killing me.

taxes LOL

I agree. Register in WY, get a good accountant and taxes become this tiny expense you pay every quarter to do business, like hosting or content creation.

The time you spend worrying about a 2% increase in taxes is time you could spend growing your business by 50%+.

Taxes are a middle class problem.

If you're an online marketer, why not incorporate offshore? Set your corporation in Mexico, Jamaica, Costa Rica, or somewhere where the federal tax is low, and use it as a pass through. Write it off as an outsourcer. Take a vacation 3-4 times a year. Bring friends. You can bring $9,999 into the US without declaring it. Just an excuse for a vacation right?

Just be savvy. Ruch guys have been doing it for years.

You're right that you can get away with paying almost nothing in taxes...but you don't need offshore accounts and cash duct taped to your body at airport security to do it.

Remember: the businesses make the tax code. Become a business and you're in the driver's seat.

Read it again bro, it was an estimate of a future point given the way we're headed. It wasn't even dated.

Sheesh I have to spell out everything these days...

But Luke, we owe everything we make to the Government for taking care of us and allowing us to live in this wonderful country they created. It's not as if we create anything, anyway. Surely that tax rate is just after the Government pays for all our living expenses.

The average American is an idiot if they think it's a great idea to tax the highest brackets more... that means hiring will slow down and it will fuel the culture of dependency that lazy ass Americans are getting quite comfortable with and stagnate our economy even more. Seriously. unemployment is like 24 months or some shit now. If you can't find a job in 3 months then you aren't really looking. McDonalds is always hiring and would pay the same as max unemployment, but apparently uneducated fools are too proud to take a job like that and would rather sit back and live off of people that actually pay taxes. Don't get me wrong I am all for helping people that actually need help, but most of the people getting "public assistance" don't really need it.

The average person in the higher brackets isn't stupid. They aren't going stuff the extra cash in their mattress. They are going to to re-invest it and turn it into even more money and part of that will involve creating more jobs. They are also going to spend it on themselves... buying new shit, going out to eat, going on vacations, etc........ All of which also creates jobs. Durrrrdy durrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Would anybody in this thread who is friendly to the idea of taxation care to present a justification for it?

Three notes:

First, resist the temptation to bring up roads, police, law, education, healthcare, and other services that must be provided by the state. The argument has been trounced on this board numerous times. It bespeaks an ignorance of economics, and therefore I will ignore it.

Second, I have no interest in discussing whether an "appropriate" tax rate should be 15%, 30%, etc. That is a question of magnitude.

Third, notions leaning toward "for the greater good," "part of the social contract," or "to level the playing field." - all nice-sounding assertions, to be sure - will be ignored.

Anybody?

How about we all just STFU and apply some lube to our wallet's butthole and prepare... better than sitting around bitching about it eh?

LOL. Stop worrying about your tax bracket and start focussing on stacking paper.

When you are CEO'ing 10k a day like me then you will finally understand, taxes is just another cost of doing business. FYI, I only paid 14% in taxes off my gross revenue last year. That includes my taxes on my personal dividend. Get a good asian accountant and keep your books tight.

14% on gross revenue is not that great, fwiw.

focus on stacking paper. No matter what happens, if you build a good business and it serves the interest of the powerful, then you will do well; fuck all the details.

Yeap, death and taxes suck. We know.

I don't know, if the US wasn't so corrupt and militaristic, I would be all for this. Those two things keep me on the fence though.

If I knew the extra funds were going to strengthen the middle class, then it'd be fine. The stronger the middle class = the more customers & revenue for you, so it'd balance itself, and if anything make you wealthier.

Unfortunately, I can't say that will be the case. More than likely, it'll go to bombing brown people, and shady backroom deals with banks et al.

It's so nice that in HK if all your income is not derived from HK, not only is it tax free but you don't have to file a tax return. Ahhhhhhhhhh now that's true freedom.

I'm not sure what's worse when it comes to the US. Paying the taxes or the paperwork involved.
