Who's ready to get ASSRAPED on Jan 1?

You really don't know what you are talking about and are now backtracking because of it. You know what you believe, and then are desperately trying to find arguments to support it, while you should be looking at the information presented and then making your decision based on that. Leads to a lot less bullshitting about economic ideas that were disproven 50+ years ago.

As a libertarian who is absolutely against tax increased I have to spend a lot of time dealing with people comparing me to idiots like you which detracts from being able to discuss actual issues. If you are against taxation, it should be because you believe taxation is theft, or because you do not believe in sacrificing what you've worked hard to achieve. Not because of outdated economic ideas.

Apparently it is easy to confuse backtracking with correcting someone that obviously misread my post. I stand by my original post. It had nothing to do with lowering taxes to create jobs. It was about how raising taxes will slow down job growth because it's such a brilliant idea to take money in the form of taxes to pay for things like unemployment, healthcare for the uninsured, etc when that money could be used to stimulate the economy and create jobs that would eliminate the need for the government to fund those things for the masses.

And for the record, I think both Romney and Obama suck. I also do not consider myself affiliated with any specific political party because at the end of the day I want the best candidate for the job. Our problems are a whole lot bigger than this election.

There was nothing misread about it, hence my quotes in the replies.

You just simply don't know what you're talking about. Plain and simple.

So many around here preach that elections do not matter.

That your vote is a waste. Yet here we find there may be a difference after all.

Elections do matter. Votes do count.

Hmmm.....

"Al Gore won the popular vote, beating President Bush by around 500,000 votes, but because Bush received more votes through the Electoral College, he won the presidency."

Yeah. That's how it works.

If it didn't then a lot of the po dunk states that see a lot of electioneering would never see a candidate.

Your point? Mine was that elections matter, votes matter.

Voting would matter much more if many of the polls weren't rigged.

But even if they weren't rigged, the MSM has an influence over the weak-brained masses that pretty much ensures that TPTB would get their guy elected every time anyway.

What's the point in all of the smart people voting for guy X when all the sheeple have been fooled again into voting for guy Y? They outnumber us a million to one...
