Which FTP program do you use?

Cuteftp. I got the idea from webmonkey when I first started making webpages.

CuteFTP Pro. Works well... been using it for the last 5 years or so. I use the editor within it as well, rather than notepad.

yea. I use SmartFTP too. Its good to use and its free. You can pay for it if you want but you dont have to

I always used to use WS FTP pro, but for some reason it won't play nice with Reseller Zoom hosting. They told me to use the FTP upload feature of Internet Explorer, so that it what I do now.

Has anyone else had trouble with their FTP program not working with their host?

I use SmartFTP or FlashFXP for FTP but I use WinSCP for SFTP or SCP. Any suggestions on better programs for SFTP or SCP?

I can't believe no one else list this, but I use FTP Editor.

It has a built in text editor and image viewer. It's great for managing any text/code directly on your server. It also has all the regular ftp features.

Sometimes I've had to switch between PORT and PASV connections, but other than that, no issues.

That's odd they reccomended the IE's ftp feature. It always errors out on me, I hate it with a passion.

Same with me. From my experience with it, it has been excellent though.

I've tried many. And by many, I mean 5 or 6. And the best one I've ever used is SmartFTP.

There's no big difference, just a prettier layout. The functionality is all the same.
