What's your whisky

When in the mood for gin... always Bombay.

Vodka is SV Vodka Supreme.

(smoothest you'll ever drink. Be warned, you don't feel the burn and you'll get a smooth fast buzz)

Still a big Jack Daniels fan, too.

Macallan 25 years old is like $500 here. $780 for the precious 30 years old.

^^ Now that's the good stuff.

A friend of mine inherited 2 (yes two) bottles of Louis XIII Cognac from his grandfather who passed away. For some strange reason I never got one fucking class of that shit...and I'm still pissed about it. $1600 a bottle is a little over my head.

I don't know SV, but have you tried Xcellent for vodka? That's the smoothest I know, and it's great. If you know both, I'm curious how you would compare them.

Balvenie Doublewood Single Malt is the one I have open at this time, but any Speyside is just fine. I have simple tastes, and the Glenlivet is my current favorite.

+1 for Bombay Sapphire.

A couple of weeks ago I went on a little road trip and ended up visiting a few Whisky distillery's in the middle of the Scottish Highlands . I managed to get a bottle of stuff normally only exported to asia which sells about £600 a bottle. Thanks to a nice security guard I only paid £35 :)

I've had exactly one glass of whisky and decided it tasted like nail polish remover. I don't even know what whisky I had, but am I going to think that of all whiskys or do some taste like nail polish remover and others don't?

Never did get into whisky. I've drank the lot, Bushmills, Jameson, the Glens, Maker's, Canadian Club, Crown Royal, Wiser's, JD, and JB but it just doesn't really do it for me.

Hate Gin. Can only just stand rum.

Very much a Vodka drinker.

+1 for Maker's Mark. I also recently got some Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit, which is 101 proof and 98pts Wine Enthusiast. It's only about 45-50 bucks. Definitely worth it for those special occasions when you want your eyeballs to burn with every sip.

Most anything as long as it's not Jim Beam. 24-25 shots of that in a single night will turn you off to it.

Jack Daniel's. Never actually tried anything else. I'm Russian you know we only drink vodka...
