Well, it's fairly obvious how they make money: people click on the ads. A better question is how they get traffic, and to that I have no idea. The second site is an RSS scraper site of some sort, I have no clue what's going on with the first. It's not produced by a blog CMS, that's about all I can tell you.

That's not the worst abuse of adsense I've seen. The worst is those Win a LAPTOP computer by clicking these links type of pages. They usually put up some text for high paying keywords around the ad area.
