What is your motivation?

big house and financial freedom for me too - so i can buy my kids all the things i never had (and pay of my debts  )

To be able to work for myself so I can decide when and where to work. As an added bonus, I would love to be able to stay at home with my wife and I have children while still pulling a decent income.

I never want a regular job.

I also want to make enough money so that in the future I can have a good ol' suburbanite lifestyle. You know, house, cars, wife, kids, dog, maybe a parrot or snake--or both.

Just be careful that the snake doesn't eat the parrot. That would suck.

My driving motivation is two fold.

First is to provide an income for my mother is unable to work, ad is unable to get any real support from the government. At the moment I suport her. I'd love her to have some financial freedom and be able to enjoy her life for once.

Second I want to be financially free myself. My ultimate goal is to buy property and travel. Freedom to do both of these would be fantastic.

The second goal will gladly come after the first.

I am still living with my parents. But that's understandable becuase I'm 15 (today!). My short term goal is to earn the same or better incoe than my friends who work their asses off for Ronald McDonald. I would also like to support my hobbies, specifically photography and get myself an iPod.

I started this exact thread over at WSP. My original list was:
the people who don’t believe in me
the poeple who do believe in me
the money
bragging rights
the recognition
the people who wonder what i do on the computer all day
the self esteem
the money

Happy Birthday Giles!
Thanks.

I also want my own island. I am thinking about trying to exploit the UNs nation states policies and create my own island nation with a really cool name. I will then register a domain name and sell it to the highest bidder. I can also have full sovereignty and attract lots of people and then not let them leave and tax them heavily....

...and then I woke up.

Wow, lots of people want islands!

My motivation is to have the money (freedom) to acheive greater possibilities in life. "You only live once so why not make the most out of it!" is my moto.

Also, I want to point out, seeing as lots of people have expensive desires --- it does not matter if you make $8 bucks an hour or $8 million bucks an hour... you can still spend it! There are ways. :) You may be surprised with how many seemingly 'rich' people are in serious financial troubles. So, I say to you: If you can afford your Murcielago and still pay for food and bills then good on ya. But remember: toys are toys. And they depreciate in value. Property, investments, trade market --- especially if you are still young, I strongly suggest you plant some solid research into these key components of getting rich. Also, study what you want to become! Jon, how would you describe your lifestyle?

I would like to be able to make my part time hobby* into my full time paycheck. So far, I haven't invested enough time in the hobby to be able to do that. After digging into WickedFire, and John's blog, I'm thinking that I need to put more time into the hobby*.

*hobby = affiliate sites, directory sites, etc...
