What do you look for in a network?

As for being responsive, I agree it is important, that is why I am getting AIM on my blackberry bold now ... typing speed won't be the same, but when I am out getting wasted on sat night, and one of u guys want to hit me up for something, at least i'll see it :P

Do the affiliates of networks like getting emails and IMs from their affiliate managers? How do you like to receive information from the network you're working with?

I'm on AIM with account managers daily and it's nice when they are available that way. Getting personal e-mails from them with updates and new offers is also nice.

epc, daily or weekly payments, and a good knowledgeable & available account manager is what I look for.
 
I'd recommend YEP for any kind of mobile offers. I remember my first month with them, i got my loot like 2 times a week, even it was just about $200 each. Big L got me some kick ass advices, which then brought me $12k in the next month. Too bad, now i'm taking a break with Crush/IQ for a while. Not trying to be off-topic, but here's what i'm looking for from network:

-Weekly payment
-Knowledge in AM(not just spaming my inbox with weekly offers)
-Login their AIM even if they're out of office
-Honest advice about offers(don't just give me the offers that cause you got high cut)
-Willing to help newbies

not in any order:

1. quick payouts + multiple payment options
2. good UI and reporting
3. good affiliate managers
4. lots of offers.
 
A friend of mine just launched a vintage t-shirt website. When he asked me how to promote the site I gave him a few networks that he should join to start in the affiliate game. He came back to me about three weeks later saying none of the affiliate managers in the networks would give him the time of day.

My question is: Why don't networks appreciate the potential in new business? Why do they only give service to the guys who make all the money? Don't they realize the little guys could grow?

I really hate this about some of the networks and their managers. I feel it's so important to give everybody a chance. That's the real way to grow and expand your networks.
 
Basic customer service is a good place to start, sadly most veteran networks are lacking in that department.
 
My #1 network pet peeve is having a bad user interface. A network has to have a good looking/working UI for me to want to even consider using it. That's probably bad, but for some reason it's just how I operate lol.
 
New affiliates can't really demand service and attention. Why would an AM want to tell you how to check your email etc?
 
Weekly payments, a platform other than directtrack, offers I can't get at any other network.

I also prefer to be left alone by affiliate managers and to only talk to them when I want a payout bump or there is a problem. I consider "motivation" to be hustling. I like them to be on AIM but to not contact me unless I contact them first.

Seems most people don't feel that way. I usually go through 1-2 affiliate managers at a given network before I find one I can tolerate.
 
1) Offers that arent cookie cutter shit that all the other networks are offering.
2) Substantial offers that aren't bs, but real, solid offers. IN other words: something YOU would buy.
3) advice- not "here's our top performers this week" etc etc. Im talking about non traditional advice that helps affiliates..ie above and beyond just the offer...
4) network interface that you dont have to wait for 10 min to load (see affiliate.com for example)
5) more creatives options
 
i look for dt and a variety of offers in dating, mobile and 1 field submits.

I do if they make sense like special promos, higher payouts, etc.
 
I think you're right. Newbs cannot demand service, however they should be treated with some respect. Emails should be answered and simple questions too.
