global economy is heavily dependent on oil... when it peaks in price... (prob already has) shit is gonna go down hill.
 
Im going to DL it and watch it, looks pretty good.
 
After you watch it let me know what you think. Shit is easy to download on torrent sites, and it's on Netflix to for those of you who have it.

it will be cheap again one of these days, but probably not very soon. we have a lot of untapped reserves in the US and canada (oil sands).

What reserves do you speak of? I think the cost to GET to these resources is going to be worth more then oil amount there.
 
Haven't watched the video, but I've been familiar with the peak oil stuff since 2005 or so. Shit is really scary since our infrastructure is so dependent on it. Some say we've already hit the peak in global oil production, which means we're pretty much screwed. Tough to deal with this when you're in school, working your ass off to get $$$$, and you have to worry about the possibility of this happening too.

I wouldn't necessarily say die, but it's going to put us in that "Live off the land" mindset... the world as we know it will change, and things are gonna be much different...

Honestly, doesn't bother me one bit. It will be nice to see all the fucktards who don't care about the planet running in circles not knowing what to do with themselves.
 
Watched the movie-

Fucking amazing.

I will say I have had an interest in the topics covered in this movie. That being said, everyone should watch this movie. This isnt about some tin foil hat bullshit, watch the movie then do your own research and open your minds.
