What do you do when you know you are awake and you cant move your body?

Sleep paralysis is crazy.

A couple years ago, I began experimenting with meditation... pretty heavy, actually. Around 2 months in, I started experiencing sleep paralysis at least once or twice a week.

In a few instances, I would audibly hear voices calling my name or trying to initiate conversations with me.

At one point, I actually began to have an out of body experience but snapped out of it in a panic...

No anal probes yet... thank God.

I actually really want to experience sleep paralysis because apparently its often a key into lucid dreaming, which I really want to do. However, I"ve done some techniques but none of worked.. as of yet. Do you mind pointing me in the right direction? The stuff you tried?

I once had this and I thought I like dies in my sleep and was like panicking because I was like so when we die we can see but we're dead and then my eyes got all teary. I was like that for like 2 minutes but then I woke up and was like WTF!!!!!

Used to happen to me quite a lot.

A common phenomena with sleep paralysis is a feeling that there is something or someone just outside or at the edge of your peripheral vision that you can't really see, but can feel the presence of something.

A lot of 'ghost' stories etc are spawned from this effect you get from sleep paralysis, when in reality, it's just your brain freaking out because you cant move your head to see if anythings there, further re-inforcing the feeling of a presence of some sort.

Anyways, when it used to happen to me, i'd normally freak out, try and move, and fail. Then i'd relax for a minute and kind of build my body/mind up to make a movement and then when ready i'd go for it and 'snap' out of it so to speak.

Freaky as fuck. But common, and completely normal nevertheless.
