I have a problem, I have gone direct with an advertiser (a daughter company of Experian) and we agreed on weekly AMEX payments because that is the only way the advertiser can pay me weekly...

So I upgraded my Paypal account so it can receive AMEX payments, but the advertiser's AMEX card apparently has some restrictions because it's a corporate card - it doesn't support Paypal payments.

They are now talking about checks as an alternative, but that is not an option for me since I will bump into budget restrictions (it takes a long tome for me to cash them).

So the options that I'm aware of are:

1) get a paypal alternative that corporate AMEX cards accept as a payment method

2) Get a US bank account so I become eligible for wires

3) You tell me...

What I'm looking for first is a Paypal alternative that corporate AMEX cards can use. If anyone got some recommendations here I'd be happy to hear about them, preferably something that I can set up fast.

Other recommendations, tips or whatever are welcome too. I just want to try to get this set up anyway I can, so any realistic suggestions are welcome.

Please help...

I just called with AMEX to check that, they told me there are no standard Paypal restrictions on their corporate AMEX cards, but that companies are able to put restrictions on them theirselfes in order to limit what their personel can do with them.

I figure that since Experien is pretty strict with other things as well, such as having to send in a paper W8 form *sigh* there is a good possibility that this is the case here.

I will bring it up to the advertiser and see what they say though.

In the meantime, I'm still looking for an alternative solution...

o get a payoneer with virtual USA account you can get ach payments free of charge and spend the moni in adwords right away, also you money is secure because payoneer work with american banks member of FDIC

Wire's can be to any country. We wire all over the world. Maybe I'm not understanding clearly.

Here's what they said about that:
Experian wont wire money to a foreign bank account. So if you have a US bank account we can do that but otherwise it will not go through
Zorus, thanks, that looks like something that could work. I'll look into it.

Would Google Checkout work for you? Not sure about their country restrictions.

Just researched the suggested options...

Both Payoneer and ETrade allow non-US residents to open a US bank account so that would work. Google checkout is US and UK only.

So basically if I get a Payoneer or Etrade Account I could get monthly wires. BUT, I'd prefer to receive weekly payments, so I'm still looking for something that will allow me to receive those weekly AMEX payments.

About a merchant account. What would you recommend? And do they have advantages over Paypal alternatives such as MoneyBookers and AlertPay?

payoneer does ACH payment, no wire, the company can pay you daily via ACH payments if they want, there is no charge, you get the payment in 48 hours via payoneer virtual US account

Update: I ended up going with an US ETrade bank account, thanks for the suggestion bullet.

I am still looking for something that will allow me to receive AMEX payments, looking at Moneybookers for that now. Suggestions in this area are still welcome, I'll figure something out myself but recommendations are always helpful.

Why would you want to eat the AMEX fees when you can just get a wire for free?

Cause I'm working with a new company and I prefer not to send them a fortune before I get my first payment. Also funding could become an issue.

Update for anyone else that want to apply for an US Etrade account:

You wanna make sure you fill out the brokerage account application, other accounts won't be accepted - I found out the hard way. Also, don't send a copy of the evidence of your current address, send the real document - they won't accept copies.

You should try to negociate a little bit more and get the money directly wired into your domestic bank account(you can offer to pay a part or all the fees). It's much safer this way. Etrade can block your account for no reason especialy if you don't use it for trading.

I have been working with Etrade since 05 when I started online full time and the brokerage account is great. Make sure you call them so you dont have to deposit 1k to request the visa debit card. It's been great, since, some of the networks I work with charge less for a domestic wire.

Just in case :)
