I would've started my own company sooner, and started running as much stuff as possible through the business as a business expense. Today I know it only costs about $16/mo through State Farm for about $2 million in personal umbrella liability coverage, so I would've started that sooner to protect my assets (court judgements from the result of car accidents or slip 'n fall on my property, etc).
There are probably other things like education and owning property, but I'll have to think about it.
